How do you encourage your shy 14 year old to do something productive for the summer? We discussed camp and being a C.I.T. Now way, he said. How about volunteering at a local hospital? he said he would like to do that. So, last week, my son went to a 5 hour orientation to be a volunteer. He has to purchase a jacket and badge from the hospital and submit his working papers as well. He is cautiously optimistic. I told him that i was a candystriper at one time and loved it. We shall see. What are your teenagers up to this summer?

Iti s better to find out what the children want to do during summer holidays and forcing our thoughts and ideas will not work.
