Various people have different concepts of GOD....If you belive in Jesus, If you beliv in one creator, If you belive in one source of energy....whatever your concept of GOD may be....Do you think, he is perfect!!!???
If Yes, How!!??

Very interesting discussion! I tend to think about that a lot. I think a fast answer is that God is imperfect. Why? This is much longer. I like the way that Yoruba religion explains this:
Maybe at one point God (called Olofin) was perfet. But perfection was boring and had not the appeal of real life. So God introduced humans in life, and humans did mistakes. So God's creation became imperfect, and God started to regret this. Olofin didn't understood the way of thinking/acting of humans, since Olofin's mind is perfect and humans are not, so Olofin sent Obatala to earth to clarify this. Obatala finished the imperfect creation of Olofin givin humans a head and free will to act wheather be perfect (act right) or not. So Obatala and the other Orishas are semi-gods that can make mistakes as humans, and thus can understand good and bad. They are here to comunicate (relate) human mind with Olofin one.
All this also means Olofin (the creator and MONOTHEISTIC God of this ancient culture) is not omnipotent nor perfect in the way that it could not do all by itself.
I am not saying I follow this religion, but more or less this is the way I feel towards God. God's "perfection" makes it not perfect, or the inverse: if God was perfect we could not relate ourselves to it.

interesting missak....
Ur final concept did make sense to me...though it had a mythological story to substantiate it...
However, my idea is different....
When we speak in terms of infinity....many universe...many suns many moons...many dimensions...do you think your concept would work there...
Its not that I am pointing at the concept...for one moment lets forget that God is Actually some human form...lets us just think of a kind of energy....do you think you would be able to substatiate it.....

Randy,
I did read your response earlier...and I agree with it...I way I look at it is, None of a thing on its own is perfect....We need to co-operate with each other to make it work to the perfection, I think thats wot that great source of energy is trying to tell us....GOD is perfect, its true, but we fail to understand that why he is perfect....He is perfect not becuse he created us, heaven or hell, or humans or anything...he is perfect, cuz he knows how to balance the negative and positive...thru dis discussion I wanted to know how many people look at the things from this point of view.....

I don't think at all that God has human form, I always thought of God as an energy as you said. For me God is Inspiration or Creativity, the senses that keep life moving on and the universe/s expanding (by the way, Olofin is also like this).
I think God's perfection is similar to universe's organization. Universe is totally random and cahotic when you look close at the asteroids and things like that, and it forms wonderful organized spirals and circles when you look from far. God is perfect when you are talking about the balance it permits on this Creation althought the many confronted energies on it, and imperfect when you are talking about this contradictions or confronted energies that need to be balanced. I hope I explained myself better this time :P

well every creature was perfect. but every creature was corrupted since the day that man partook of the tree of knowledge. since man was the highest being in the world and he sinned before God therefore every living creature had also fallen. but even if that happened, if we would look at ourselves you could still see that we were perfectly created by God. look at our eyes, our nose, our ears, our mouth, our feet. they are just fashioned in a very nice way and placed in a very orderly manner. man is God's masterpiece to show to the angels and even to Satan that He is the God of wisdom and the God of perfection...

Hi Kayakalp,
Who would I be to answer this question of perfection if I was not being me, so I hope you don't think that I'm intruding and I hope you welcome my line of thinking...
Peace to you,
What is perfection? The absence of mistakes, everything is created by GOD for a purpose, that is that which is created by GOD. Could there be other creators and creations? Why does ivy grow with a poison? A choking vine that can kill a tree or choke the life out of other good plants good for nourishing the body mind and soul.
The spread of weeds the seeds that blow into our gardens and strip the nutrients from the soil to disrupt the growth of our own food supplies.
From over growth to draught fire and water work together to expose the flaw created by bad leadership and humanity liberally wasting all that is good for profits and self gratification.
Perfection is pure and holy so what evil could enter into a perfect kingdom? What evil could enter into a perfectly created world? The only evil is the creation of the created and that evil is created in the minds of the created to form an imperfect ability to control the masses.
Look at it this way, if GOD is perfect then GOD didn't create the story of Satan, it was one of the foreparents those people born of long ago.
The next question is why submit to a lie?

Well, before we go talking about who's perfect and who isn't, define perfect. Everyone has their own idea of what perfect is, so perfection itself is not uniform.
Assuming that when you say 'perfect' you mean perfect in everything, then no, he probably wouldn't be. The reason for this is that if God were perfect in everything, then he would have to be perfect in his omnipotence, benevolence, appearance, judgements, etc. Conversely, he would also have to be perfect in his weakness, malevolence, ugliness, lack of judgement, etc. To be completely perfect is to be perfect in all things - both good and bad. However, each characteristic would cancel out - nullified by it's opposite.
For example, to be perfect in one's kindness would mean that one must possess never ending, unconditional, and unsurpassed kindness. One speck of maliciousness would make this trait imperfect. So if one were perfect in all things, one would have to be perfect in kindness, and in maliciousness. Because they are "perfect" in both, then they are perfect in neither.
That's assuming God's perfect in everything, though. Ultimately, however, perfection is in the eye of the beholder, and the explanation above holds zero importance if your definition is different than the example.

Very well taken Latrivia. I am impress. But God is more than what we can think of, His perfection is incomprehensible by our mind even if we use all the potential capacity of it. God is all that is in His attributes.

Yes, God is perfect.
If you think of the Creator as imperfect, then you are giving 'him' human attributes. God is above human attributes.
God created everything and programmed them all to evolve and function as intended. If we consider something imperfect, it is only through our perspective.

Thanks for your response....
If God Is Perfect...why he wants us all to evolve....
GOD created Evrything....What do you understand by this????
Function as intended....What are his intensions!!????
If we consider him imperfect, it is only through our perspective....We would look into this further.....

Dear kayakalp, the very concept of GOD -as understood in the judeo-christian-muslim worldview, is a concept of perfection. Perfect means that there is not the slightest possibility to be something else. It is in this way of meaning that John says: "God is Love".
In reference to God's nature, this means that God is eternal -he is outside of time, ever was and ever will be-, and infinite -there is no place where God isn't. Because of this, God is also omniscient. As to his character, God is perfectly good and only good, just and only just, saint and only saint... God is perfect, else he can't be God.

God is perfect that is what he tells us,He claims perfection,He claims creation..He is perfect so he can be an appropriate sacrifice for the sins of the world so that he can redeem us into eternity with him as forgiven and made perfect..A sinner cannot sacrifice himself for the sinful, only a sinless one...and since all have sinned,God had to become a man to do it for those of us who will give him credit for doin it...so we can have our sins removed and become sinless after our ressurection, and hangout with a perfect God.being made perfect ourselves through his Blood.
