When was the last time you saw the sunrise?

This morning I happened to be up really early and I got a chance to see the sunrise. It was so beautiful! But, unlike the sunset it wasn't romantic. Instead the sunrise was like a cool breeze washing over everything, making it feel brand new. Maybe it was just the sudden difference between the darkness and the light that made it feel that way. I was so lucky that my spouse was there to watch it with me. We have few moments alone like that since we became parents. It was very special.
What about you? When was the last time you watched the sunrise?

I see the sun rise quite often because my dining room window looks straight at the spot where it comes up and if I'm up early enough, I can watch it while I eat breakfast.
I can't agree that the sunrise isn't as romantic as sunset though. Even though I like sunset, when I was in Oregan, a friend in Ohio sent me, amongst others, this picture of sunrise in October. Beautiful, huh?
Brightest Blessings.

That is romantic sunrise! I have never seen one like that before. It must be our location then. We don't get sunrises like that. Our sunrises are like a three year old child, bright and full of energy.

We were up really early this morning and the sun was gorgeous. And, when our little girl wanted to go outside to play for awhile, we all went. It was the most wonderful morning. And, like you said, everything felt brand new and right. It was the perfect way to start the day.

I never watch the sunrise because I'm entirely too lazy to get up that early. However, my husband and I recently went on a cruise to Mexico and we set the alarm to wake up early. We went up to the top deck of the boat and watched the sunrise over the ocean. It's was gorgeous : )

I've never saw sunrise in my life. I wish I had but I've never had the opportunity to see it. However I've seen sunset a few years back and it was so beautiful. The sun look so yellowish and slowly the surroundings started to turn darker and darker. I enjoyed the moment every bit of it.

That is very sad you have never seen a sunrise. Where we are living, we don't precisely see the moment the sun comes up, just the fuzzy light. And, when you go outside during the early morning on summer days, the ground is still very wet with dew. Everything smells so good! And, then by ten am, it's way too hot to be outside. So, things even out. But, the sunsets are gorgeous too.

The last time I saw the sunrise was probally last week the reason why I stayed up that late or early or what ever you want to call it lol is because I had an severe allergic reaction from sleeping on an feather pillow because I had to sleep in my sisters bed to test out her bed to see if I want it again so I stayed up the whole night couldnt sleep and I saw the sunrise lol.

i'm not a really morning person so i hardly get to see the sunrise. even if i'm awake in the wee hours of morning, that's because i've some place to go to and i'm always rushing so i never have actually gotten the chance to see the sunrise T_T ..i bet it would be an awesome sight though! i love sunsets, it's beautiful too eh.

I haven't seen the sunrise for a while. I used to manage a convenience store. I was there before sunrise every day. When the sun came up I could see it out the front window where I worked. That was always such a beautiful start to the day. I often use the illustration for people going through some tough times, that there have to be clouds in the sky for a sunrise or sunset to be beautiful. Tough times will make the beauty of other times shine through.

Arrr... good question beautyqueen! Life has been so busy and stressful i have not seen the sunrise for many years now! i would say for at least 5-6 years now. quite sad... But i do see sunsets quite often... which is good. Looking at the sun dirrectly is not good for your eyes anyways.... I wake up sometimes at 7:00 in the morning for school morning classes, but never get to see the sun rise.... but when i used to see sunrise every so often, i never found that it was "romantic" but i thought it was kind of special i guess...

Gosh I haven't seen the sun rise in nearly forever! I'm never up at that time so I don't get to see it. The last time was probably when I was at the beach and I woke up early and went to the ocean to watch it rise. It was gorgeous!

I went away recently on a trip to the beach.... one of those clear-your-head-of-everything kind of trips.... and I woke up to see the sunrise each morning while I was there. I love the sunrise. I think it is one of the best ways to increase the energy you feel during the day.
There is also something so incredibly peaceful about a sunrise. I wish I could get in the habit of waking to see it every morning.
Nice discussion, beautyqueen26.

I was sick last week and went to bed very very early. I am normally a night owl and rarely do I rise before 6:30 am. This day I was wide awake by 3am. It was awesome to see the sun come up and hear the birds come to life! I felt an energy that is simply indescribable! The other night, I deliberatly went to bed early just to experience the sensation all over again. Wish I could do it more often but I work 2nd shift and most nights I don't have that option.

The sunrise, it's amazing, where i live..! I think that it is very romantic, if you are with the person that you love! But, i like also say that the sunset, it's even more beautiful!
I like to sleep a lot..so when i wake up, the sun is not rising! So i've more chances to see the sunset
