public restrooms - do you sit on the toilet seat when you use public restrooms?

no way would i sit on a public toilet.i've seen very few in my lifetime that actually looked clean,and even if they did i still wouldn't sit on it. god only knows what could be on them.

No, and its not the marks on the seat that worry me, its the infestation of germs...Public toilets are disgusting. If I have to go and which is very rarely. I would cover it in paper but still not sit, I do 'The Kangaroo' over the seat. I would not dare sit on it.

no i dont. but if theres a bundle of tissue available, i would roll it and put it on top of the bowl then there i could sit properly. but mostly i wouldjust sit on the air cause i can't imagine how many people step their shoes on the bowl. that's yuck..

No never.I teach my kids not to either.Even if they have those paper liner to cover i still dont sit on the seat.I wouldnt know who im going behind.I just can't do it.

I never dare to sit on toilets, even if I have a tissue. I do my thing by sitting on the air.maybe, around 5-10 inches away from the bowl.

that is something that the government has neglected and that must be look into. Seldom that you see a public toilet that is clean and fresh smelling. most of them dirty, never wanted to use them. and you shouldn't sit on it.

If I go to the loo I will wash off the seat. I hardly ever see seat covers, but I do use them if I see them. It depends on where you go. I have seen some REAL clean loos like in Chipotle and McDonalds, yea! They actually did have clean loos! It was surprising, but true. However, I am not sure for you women, though ;). I'm only talking from my point of view, but I have seen some ugly and nasty ones, too. Pablo
