Homosexuality in the U.S.....

is a hot topic among political figures. It is argued over incessantly yet people feel they need to tread lightly to appease the political correctness standard. Recently, those in Caolifornia have proposed a law, which looks as though it may be passed, that says speaking out against homosexuality is a crime. If, in fact, this law is passed it wouldn't be long before other states catch on. Before I go any further, let me add some background information on myself. I believe that homosexuality is wrong, however, I would never tell soemone who is gay that they shouldnt be. I do not take part in it, however I refuse to preach that to others. I think as long as it isn't flaunted in public, for no reason other than to flaunt it, then people are permitted to do whatever they like in their own home. I don't make out with my girlfriend in public and I don't want to see you make out with your boyfriend either. This is not a religious viewpoint as I have no religious affiliation. With that said, there are religions (talking to you now Catholic Church) that do speak out against homosexual acts. This law, if passed, would permit the state to prosecute the church authorities who speak on the matter. This is something I don't believe is fair. My belief is that people should be allowed to do whatever they please in their own home, but in public they must uphold a standard of family values. What do you all think on the subject? Is it right to arrest those who have strong opinions, even if they have done nothing else wrong? WHat are your thoughts on homosexuality on general? Yay or Nay?
