Autumn call to all Haiku poets!

In the world I live in, it's extremely hard for me to find time to pursuit my passion of writing poetry. So, gradually, I turn to Haiku. At first, it's just an attempt to not abandon poetry all together, because the traditional Haiku poems need only 3 sentences -consisted of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, and 5 phonetic units. In other words, it's short and simple, so I can write one anywhere, anytime I feel the urge of writing. But then, I get hooked. I embrace the simplicity but wonderfully crafted verses like an escape needed for hectic days.
This afternoon, I walked few blocks around a beautiful residential area, trying to get rid of all the stress of a bad workday. It's a lovely day. Autumn has come with leaves changing colors. I looked up at a row of colonial Victorian houses, then my heart stopped for a second. What I saw became my Haiku of the day:
A drop of autumn sun
brighten the heart of a yellow flower
shivers in a dark balcony
Then I walked home with a smile on my face, happiness in my heart and contentment in my soul. Life is great.
Autumn always brings out the best of all poets. Please post here your poems for all of us to enjoy. Or if you want, you can post famous Haiku from past masters -with proper credit of course.
Happy writing poetry to all,
Lilycool
