I like and love to travel in train, cause its more convenient, its more comfortable. People in india especially working women if observed will be performing most of the home jobs like clearing and cutting vegetables in train itself mostly greens. They have the custom of wearing a floral garlands in their hair, so they buy flowers and make a garland in train itself on their way up and down office or elsewhere they travel. Most of the purchases like fruits, vegetables, seafoods-like fishes and prawns can be bought in seperate coach in the surburban train.
And coming to ladies interest, bindis, clips, bangles, hand kerchiefs etc etc can also be bought in train of our choice.
Many ladies who perform too many roles and finally end up in concentrating in their food routines have their breakfast lunch etc in train.
Its a nice scene to observe the public activity and travel rather than travelling alone in our own vehicle.
Above all journey tiredness is not felt as when we travel in bus. We have privacies as train provides seperate compartments for ladies. So teasers problem, and general public problem from men towards women is avoided.
sight seeing and enjoying the journey is best when travelled in train.
How about your interest and means of travel you like, do share your views.

I love to travel by train. When I was 18 I bought an Inter Rail card to travel around Europe. I began in Finland, land of the midnight sun. Then I caught a boat over to Sweden. I had a lovely long train trip to Narvik in the Arctic Circle. The train journeys in Norway were quite delightful. I saw fjords and stunning countryside. In Denmark the whole train was put on the ferry to get it over water. I enjoyed catching a comfortable sleeper train from Belgium to Austria and on to Hungary.
I liked the long train journeys in Australia, like the one from Cairns to Brisbane, 36 hours long. I like the short but scenic journeys in New Zealand past snow capped mountains or beautiful coastline. One of the best trips I did was in Africa, from the coast to Nairobi. It was an old train with much character.

hey even i luv travel by train...but not during peak hours...thats a horrible crowd...also when vendors come inside...its quite disturbing and unsafe also...long travel is quite enjoyable and unlike bus or flight travel ...we can enjoy this comfrotable journey....regular commuters very well can accept this.

Iam really missing the train travel as i commute by bus these days.Nothing can be compared to the comfortability of train with that of bus which is totally hectic.
I had a whole group of friends and share lot of fun and some interesting incidents with them while travelling which i miss in bus as in bus we are unable to meet the same set of people daily.Once in a while we meet as buses dont maintain time and everyone moves into other buses which gaps the communication.
As you have mentioned, while travelling in train we dont have the problem of tiredness which in case of bus one gets frustrated and tired while travelling even for a very short distance.
