Just a bit of fun here.. What would happen if we were to address people we met in real life, the same was as we addressed them in a letter. If we saw someone we knew walking dow the street we would approach them and say "Dear Mr... " And as we left him we would say "I am yours sincerely" or "your's faithfully".
Can you think of any other weird way we would have of communicating?

My daughter recently said something to me and I took it completely the wrong way, I told her she had to add a pause as a comma in order for me to interpret her sentence correctly. I'd laugh if I spoke how I write letters as I love using words like incommodious and timeously, I'd sound really pompous in real conversation; or should I say, further to your recent conversation, please find detailed above my thoughts on the matter.LOL

Thanks for posting.. I think it would be an understatement to say that we'd spend a lot of time talking to each other in this way. Thank you for your post and thank you in anticipation for further responses on mylot.. That is, when your good self, can partake of the time. I remain yours faithfully... ;-)

When i was in highschool,i and my classmates or other schoolmates addressed each other using the names of our fathers. Like they call me "Abner"(my dad's name). Or if someone ask us what time is it? we usually replied them like this.. uhm,..according to my watch which was brought by my mother named Anita in Shangrila mall last January 26 year 2006, swatch model, leather, and color pink. It is already fourteen and 35 hundred hours before fifteen hundred hours..heheh

LOL.. I like that idea, it sounds like a lot of fun.. Using full wordy descriptions where it is not necessary. Reminds me of a comedy on TV that used to be over here in the U.K. called Keeping Up Appearances in which the main character (a lady who was somewhat snobbish) would say, "my sister Violet who lives in the country, has a swimming pool in her garden and has room for a pony".. LOL

That is pretty weird. As far as other weird ways, maybe actually saying lol or omg, but saying it like the letters O-M-G. I can see myself doing something silly like that!

Hmmm... that would be interesting to do. I guess I may start doing that just to see the people's reactions. LOL! I think that would be wonderful! We may think now that it would be weird. I think that it would be a big improvement for hey dog! or hey you!...instead we could say dear mister. ha ha ha! funny but I may just get the hang of it.

That's such a good idea you have here derek...it truly sounds interesting and fun at the same time thinking about how we addressed people we met down the streets with a name that would surely fits their personality, I may say :-)
In my part, whenever I met people strangers or not...I always tend calling them Mr., Mrs. or Ms. as a sign of respect than just simply calling their own names, and would it be nice to leave them such a great remark of 'at your service always' :-)

This is a weird and funny idea my friend. LOL. I think if this happens we all need to know each other's real name. So we can address everyone well. Also if they finished some degrees or graduated in doctorate etc. we need to know also for proper addressing. It will be fun and challenging for us I think. Hehehe. God bless!

I think it would be really interesting if we addressed people by the names they use on the internet. Then if l saw you on the street l would say "Hello derek_a how are you today"? You would say " Oh just fine lifeoriley". We have tame names but some people have really crazy user names.
Then that makes me wonder if people would think twice about the user name they choose.
