Are you still using it?
What methods did you ever try?
Why do we need Contraception?
The reasons are varied, But is a fact that decising the number of children we want and the time we plan to have them is a clear sign of maturity and responsibility.
Buy doing this, it helps us carry out our duties better during pregnancy, childbirth and babycare. Parenthood turns ou to be a pleasant experience to the prepared mother and father. Making responsible decisions about family planning may not really be easy.
I've tried using contraceptive pills before thats why our childrens aged gap is 6years. It helps me a lot how to take care of my baby well, and I can work on my job freely from worry. Even the others says it is againts God will for me it is more sin to God if I will produce many babies and I can't give them nice future and I will just neglect them.
How about you ladies out there what contraception method did you use? Did your husband agree to use it?

When I was first married many, many years ago I used birth control pills. They were the "thing" to use back then.

Lyn, although your discussion, I believe, is mainly addressed to our female friends here, yet I would like to reply. We do use contraceptive regulary...because we already have two kids...we do not want more...we will not be able to bring them in a fit and healthy atmospere and cost of living has been increasing day by day. So whatever we have, we feel happy and try to bring them as good as possible.

I am not religious but I don't believe in using contraceptive. I don't think we should be "doing it" with someone unless we are aware of what can happen. Having said this... I am taking a needle to stop me from getting pregnant. I wanted to have LOTS of babies, ideally I wanted to have 13 of them. Yes 13 at least more would have been absolutely wonderful I love babies and children and kids.... They truly are a great joy.
But my partner doesn't want to have any more children adn I can respect that. His children are all older (except for his son who is only 4 years old) but he has decided that with me he doesn't want any babies. I can respect that so I am on the needle. I hate getting this needle I hate being on this needle. It bluntly, goes against what I think but I love my boyfriend so much more and I am willing to do this even though I don't want to because I love and respect him.
He said that we may have children but not yet. I can cling to that little lifeboat of hope.
I had tried birth control pills actually several different kinds but they all interfered with other medications that i take for other health issues so the only thing I can take is this needle.
I also think that if I could take pills I would just forget to because frankly I don't want to be on birth control. At least with the needle I have no choice lol, I go in it's done and I'm good for 3 months.

We are not using it with my wife. She has some complications with pills and don't want to try the other method. We have try the calendar mehtod but it is not reliable. So when we already have three kids we decided to have her ligated. So far she is doing fine and three children is goo enough for us.

Well I was on the pill for several years. I ended up getting pregnant with my daughter while I was on the pill. So I no longer trust the pill. After I had my daughter I got an IUD. The IUD worked great but it started hurting my fiance so I had to have it taken out. I am currently on the Depo Provera shot. I have been on this shot for a little over a year now. So far so good. It hasn't caused me any weight gain or moodiness. The only thing I worry about is it has been known to cause bone deterioration. So I am taking extra calcium.
