Hey everyone - I am shopping for new furniture and I find I need some ideas - so I wonder - if you had unlimited funds to spare, what would you buy? Websites of your favourite types of furniture/furniture designers would be greatly appreciated.

I love the way my friend has her apartment fixed up....all her furniture consists of that light, blond wood color, giving the place a nicy and airy feel to it--rattan furniture gives that same kind of sense of openness too for some reason..
One website that is great for furniture ideas is furniturebuzz.com...they have all kinds of top brand selling furniture including Kathy Ireland. check it out :)

Hi pyewacket - thanks for the link - this is exactly the sort of site I am looking for. The name Kathy Ireland rings a bell, but I am not sure where I know the name. Anyway, I had a look through the furniture and these are the styles I like for the bedroom:

I also like the Martha Stewart site. Classic designs that can go with many other pieces - but her furniture is not available here except for a couple of pieces.

well i dont know if you are familiar with IKEA, but its a very cool furniture store (check them out online @ www.ikea.com i i think lol)but they have fairly reasonable prices and quite modern stuff ...
if you dont have a lot of money, you can check out garage sales and thrift stores, sometimes you can find cool stuff there too especially if you are into retro or shabby chic.

Hi cher...yes I know of Ikea and I have been to all the "chain" furniture stores but can't seem to find something I like, in the quality I want it...anyway, was really after "fine" beautifully crafted furniture with a bit of design (not minimal) - and wondered where people around the world would go to if money was not an issue?
