That many people here say they are not here for the pennies but the company/friendship and conversation, but yet when you responed to a discussion you seem to get fewer and fewer responses from the discussions originator?
Granted I know I haven't been here much to get back to my own discussions, but I do respond back to them eventually. I am talking about the people who start discussions and don't responed at all, or respond to the first few responses and that's it, except a few of their friend's responses here and there and then they are off starting another discuusion doing the same.
Does that bug anyone else? I mean think about it in "real life" how often do you have a one-sided discussion with someone?

Well you never get a one-sided discussion when I am around do you sweetie? lol Seriously I do understand what you mean and for the most part I do agree with you - luckily there are very few of my friends who are like this - I like to talk - a LOT! There are some people who do have reasons for not responding very much but luckily they are in the minority and I seem to interact more with people who do respond - thank Goodness! xxx

Okay you got your wish IT"S RAINING. For a couple of hours anyway, or days, they haven't made up thier minds yet lol.
And honey don't worry I was kinda making a point to the people who would read this and realize I hadn't answered in awhile. I am sorry if it seemed I was being a bit short. That was not my intentions.

LOL, I kind of noticed the same thing someoen asks a question and than tons of peopel reply but they just move onto the next subject without ever saying thank you or anything. Kind of rude I have doen it myself but only on one subject the rest of them I have always tried to reply back to everyone and thank everyone even if they have a very different opinion.

Does talking to myself in the mirror count in the one sided discussions area? lol. I have one sided conversations with my husband all the time it seems, annoying as all get out.I try to answer every response I receive from mylot. Alot here doesn't. As you said they skim their responses and only respond to those they see fit to. If I have nothing to add to a response I will still resond with a thank you for your response I appreciate it response. I like coming to mylot to get answers and it has helped me win a few discussions my husband does decide to have with me. It all comes down to respect I guess.

Nope cause at least you can answer yourself lolHusbands and kids are great for making us feel like we are talking to ourselves all the time. But they always seem to want an answer right away when they ask a question. I generally try to refer to something they state in there response so they at least know I took the time to read it

I tend to end up disappearing sometimes but only becuase we have a limited time during the summer to work on our property, but I always try to get back to all my discussions. I realize this happens to most people. For others I just don't bother answering their discussions anymore.
I'm with you it's rude

Well most of my discussions that i start are interesting news or articles, i hardly ever ask a question that i can reply to and i do not have anything worthy to add to the conversation. What is the point in wasting my time posting something worthless and not earning any money for it when i could post something worthy elsewhere and earn money for my contribution! That's how i see it anyway...

Hi MonAmb
Discussions about current events can be good too. But a discussion is talking back and forth other than that they are just statements
But I am also here for the conversations. The money is nice but when I am here I end up spending more time "chatting"

Yes Sweetie it bugs me and I have removed a few People out of my Friends List for that
Whether we earn or not on that it is only right to respond back as it shows Appreciation that you are responding and it shows that you really are friend

Yes it does bug me the ones that do not respond at all. I do to many of mine, but sometimes when people repeat, I won't, I then feel as if I am repeating myself and it brings it down. You know? Now that I have given my excuse, LOL you do have a wonderful point, conversations aren't just one sided in the real life. Many are just wanting to post and move on to the next never to return.

yes, i have also noticed that most of the people don't comment on the responses which they recieve on their discussions, but i try to comment on all the responses which i get on my discussion if you want to see my discussions just check out the profile page. i think some people don't respond because they are busy

I try to check on all my discussions and to respond to what people have said. Sometimes I have nothing more to add or their response doesn't need an answer or appear to expect one. Mayb that is why my pennies as you put are so low for the amount of time I put in here, but if I really just wanted money I good get another job.

I can only speak for myself, but the reason why I don't respond to every reply is that I might not have anything worthwhile to add. I frequent other forums as well where I won't get paid, and the golden rule there is to not spam with the same information over and over again, or just reply to thank the ones that answered. I believe that is a rule on MyLot aswell, that you shouldn't just thank your repliers.
