We have 3 dogs and the 2 large ones belong to my fiance. He spoiled them and it is MY couch that is now displayed in our living room. Our dogs have a fit if "mommy" wants to squeeze in anywhere on HER OWN COUCH. Then sometimes, I will be laying on the couch watching a movie or taking a snooze and the biggest dog will sit and give me sad eyes and whine because there's no room for them. I can't break them of it now, what's done is done. I just wonder what sort of job they could get to pay me back my $800 for my first major purchase I ever made on my own.
Yeah, that's me, bitter. Table for one please?

Well...that's a tricky question lol. My parents don't allow the dogs on the couch...but whenever my parents aren't around I let my golden retriever lay with me on the couch lol.

if i were to decide, i wouldnt want our dog to lay on the couch. everyone at home thinks its ok, but i know its not. our dog has fleas and we've been trying to get rid of them but to no success. also, the hair, i mean c'mon, short hair or long hair its still gonna stick to the fabric which would then transfer to your cothes. good thing if it were just your clothes. dogs are gonna scratch a lot of times, the hairs will fly all around the house, in your food, sometimes it even gets stuck up my nose. its really a bad idea to let your dog lay on the couch, or inside a centralized room. but of course, provide your pet with a comfortable area of its own.

Hahaha Our dogs are not acually alowed on the couch. Main reason is it is new. I just got it in Febuary. But we have a oversized chair and another chair in the living room that I dont care if they lay on it. We also kept the old couch and put it in the den for them to lay on if they want. But our dogs always seem too be too busy playing anf fighting that they dont ever pay attention to being on the couch. And they are so exhausted once they are done playing with each other they pretty much just colapse on the floor and dont move for hours LOL

The dogs I have now spend most of their time outside. But when we did have inside dogs they slept where they wanted, on the couch, in a chair, or on the bed with me. I know they felt like they were just part of the family.
