I have recently met two modern-day Heroes in Drevdagen, Sweden while on vacation. One day my husband was hiking point-to-point and i was supposed to wait for him on the end point, 18kms away from his start point. So i drove there with the children. While waiting, the children played on the roadside and i was sitting on the car near them, watching. Out of habit I had activated the automatic-lock with the key though leaving a door open to sit down and put the key on my jeans pocket -but the key made sitting uncomfortable so i put the key in the car along with my mobile phone. Then after a while decided to play with the children and closed the door without thinking- then it happened! We are locked out of the car! and it was getting late and getting cold! What a Katastrophy! I was in panic ´coz I have no idea what to do in my situation! - but after a while, I managed to send the children to a wind-protected-hut accoss the road...and tried thinking, and thinking ...but it seems there is no way out of it -except maybe to break a window. Then i realized i need help. I had to stop a car and ask for help. And thank God the first car i stopped was willing to help...unfortunately, it was really a very difficult situation that he needed to drive away after a while to get another man to help him. Both men were busy with helping me for over an hour or two - and thank God they have managed to open the car without breaking a window. I thank God for sending me the two men to help me. But i cannot thank the two men enough, my personal Heroes, for their readiness to help a stranger. To think that it has started to shower and it was already around 8pm - where they should be home and relaxing...but instead on the road helping me...and sadly I have not even known their names! But one thing is sure, i will be forever thankful for what they have done for me and my family. And hope and pray that they will be hundredfold rewarded for their kindness. And when they happen to be in Hannover, Germany - i sure would love to welcome them in our home. God Bless them...
