Where do you get your best ideas for discussions?

Most of the topics I post came from my past or everyday experience, because I try to make sure that I could also give a good comment on those who responds to my discussion. The thing is, I usually post whenever my brain-cells get to work in a not-so normal condition. That's the time where most ideas come out, that my sense of recalling past experiences gets to flashback!;)

I think of questions when I'm trying to fall asleep. I'll think of a bunch that I want to ask, but I'm too tired (or lazy) to get up and ask them then. So by morning I have forgotton them all! Or when I'm in the shower, but then I get busy with household stuff and taking care of my son that I forget again. By the time I actually get to the computer, I don't have anything left! haha

Since I am accident prone and also my house is a magnet for people in distress because for some reason they think I can solve their problems, I get more than my fair share of ideas for mylot. Since my partner realised that I actually get paid for discussing things on mylot it has become almost a community sport in our flat with people saying "oh you MUST put that on mylot". Most of my ideas come from little things I do to make life easier, or read about which are new and which will interest people who share the hobbies I enjoy and I make sure I put those on as soon as I read them, so that I am first lol.

Mine come while in the tub soaking at night. However if I search them, 9 out of 10 times it's been done already or I have second thoughts about posting them cause I have have a lot of questions about many controversal things. Sometimes I just don't want to argue, beleive it or not, LOL.

In the shower, in my car (my radio is out and I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet), and while reading or watching the news. These are where most of my ideas come from.

I often think of discussions as I'm watching movies or tv shows. Sometimes I'll think of discussions by talking to my friends and hearing their stories. Other times I get my ideas right as I'm trying to go to sleep. That's always the worst because that's when I get my best ideas and I always have to get up and write them down before I can fall asleep. I know I'll forget them in the morning lol. But here lately I haven't had much MyLot time and I've been drawing a blank on discussions. Maybe something will come to me soon.

It doesn't take me a long time to think about a discussion thease days.I start discussions that happen in my everyday life or about somebody i know.

Usually, I'll be doing something on the computer, like reading the news, or playing a video game and I'll think of an idea. I always come up with an idea whenever I'm reading something. :)

i listen to talk radio, read a lot and just use some examples out of every day life or sometimes if i have a question about something i will post it... i get my best ideas at night and often dont remember them in the morning lol :-(

I get my discussions from a lot of places. I go for weeks without posting any and then I'll have a flood of inspiration and post 20 in one night! Some days I think them up myself, other days they are inspired by the news or my friends.. inspiration can come from anywhere and I always keep an ear out! x

Lots of times when I'm listening to the news I'll get an idea from there, then check the web to see if there is a related article so I can post a link...ah, but alas,....being the creative genius that I am, my ideas usually come out of thin air..hehhe

Sometimes when I'm in the kitchen I do think many best discussion. And sometimes when I'm going to sleep. My discussion sometimes just flash in my mind and I will just think it over if it is okay to be one of the discussion I will post. Sometimes It takes a long time before I thought, thats why sometimes I prefered not to think of a new I just let go when the new discussion just came up into my mind.

I guess when im at work I always think great ideas like what im going to do this weekend or that night and how to make more money by doing more chores or what ever but then when I get home I always forget it and I hardly ever get any good ideas when im at home watching tv for some reason I usally only get good ideas when im bored stiff lol.

ME TOO! And here I thought it was only me! I do all of my intense thinking in the shower. Or when I'm sad I usually cry in there as well and it just feels so nice! The water washes down the tears and I wouldn't even realize I was crying if I weren't upset. Hah! I do get the best ideas in there, I love it! The only down side is that I take so long in there and usually by the time I come I've forgotten everything. LOL.

Well.. My life experiences or day to day observations in life.. Those stuff are what I usually post in my discussions. I mean - there's so many things to write about when you think about your experiences in life.

As for me, I derive ideas for posting discussions mainly from my day-to-day experiences . Meeting friends, getting acquainted with new contacts, behavior of near ones, observation of wayside happenings - all contribute to my selection of topics.

Since coming to MyLot, ctry, it seems as though all I think about is how I can turn this or that into a post. I get a lot of ideas from the news(as I'm sure many others do). I also go back to the past and think of a lot of things in my life then. And there's always that old standby, family. You can also come up with posts based on the things you enjoy doing in your daily life. The possibilities are endless.

Thinking new topics is not easy. In fact, I can only make 3 new discussions per day. I love responding to new topics and discussion. So, I prefer responding more than starting new discussions. Usually, the discussions I've started are taken from my real life. Sometimes I read some news... and if I find it interesting I'll post it here just to share it with you. So, I can make 3 new discussions per day and those are the best. ~mar

I get my ideas from my experiences and from my interest like fashion, online money making, etc. Sometimes before going to sleep i think for new topics or discussions. I also get ideas from different forums. It's really hard for me to start a new discussion because there are times that my new ideas are already posted by other mylotters, which is really disapponting.

i get it through my own ideas.
