Sure, it's flattering that people still come to me for all sorts of favors and rely on me for various things. I do appreciate the trust and the thought that they count on me. But it can take it's toll sometimes. I don't like to appear like I'm complaining, but see, this saying yes to people almost all the time, does make me break promises one after another. I just can't say no and keep a straight face to people. The more I can't face them and say I've failed in my attempt to do so much things at the same time.

Sometimes, you can help people a lot more in the long term by saying no, than by saying yes. I know it can be very difficult and I have often ended up feeling mean. One rule I have and that is, if I make a promise I will move hell and high-water to keep it. Because if I break a promise I have made that means I am throwing myself into a worse conflict. Saying one thing and doing the opposite has subtle repercussions at a subconscious level, that ends up causing minor stresses, put together, all these minor stresses become a major stress. Learn to say no, where appropriate and it will be easier to keep promises. Like everything else, it gets easier with practice, but practice is essential.

It is really not easy to say no to people if you are a moderate. I am such a moderate. I usually say yes to them though unless I have to say no. I will still say no moderately.
