I grew up on Chinese soups so I'd say they win hands down XD But I count minestrone, clam chowder, french onion soup among my favourite soups as well. I'd like to try Russian soup one day. My sister says there's a place in Arab St that sells Russian food.

Really? I didn't know there was a russian restaurant in Arab street. I should look for it when I go back. By the way, its in Singapore right? There is this nice restaurant that serves good borsch soup but not sure if it is Russian restaurant. It is in the building beside the old Lane Crawford. Can't remember what it is called now. The building is Far East something something...

My Hubby is Chinese and I have learned to cook for him lovely Chinese soups..There is one with egg strands and chicken. He loves my cooking now so much. I really miss him though as He is in the U.S and I am in England. I hope to visit him again in September.

Since your husband is Chinese, who are you then? Is he in the US for work? I am Chinese from Singapore.
Which part of England are you in? I missed London, I was there studying 5-6 years ago.
You should perhaps research into Cantonese soups. They are supposedly good for health. The Cantonese loves to drink soups. Its not that difficult. Something like adding pig bones with some carrots can boil some pretty neat soups.
My bf is Korean and he hates Chinese soups. I had to cook Korean food for him and so far, he likes it. He loves my curries.

I like Thai soups the best. I love the simple vegetable soups, and the Tom Kha Kai soups with coconut milk and curry.
