Would you be interested in getting a nice red Ferrari for free? Of course you would. And if I promise you that you have to do exactly nothing to get it - even better, right? Sadly, this will probably never happen...so forget the Ferrari for free.
When I read through some posts, many people seem to look for a get rich quick, risk-free and no-work involved way. Common sense or even intuition should tell us that there is no easy way to make significant money. However, there are always posts asking "Can I really make thousands of $$$ with answering suyverys?" or "Invest in gold now: 400% risk-free return.". Is greed and work-avoidance really more powerful than intelligence and a solid financial plan?

Excellent post, thank you. The best way to make money is to have a career and work hard. Of course, investing is important when considering capital preservation in light of inflationary pressures.

Right on. And I totally agree regarding investing. I look at earning money as a two phase approach
(1) Work and establish active income
(2) Invest and establish passive income
I find it rather difficult to believe that many people try to find a third way to make a substantial income: finding free money on the internet.

I cannot argue with that. You remind me of Richard Kiyosaki (no offence intended).

Oops, Robert Kiyosaki. Have you read his book? I have not had the pleasure although it seems to be quite popular.
