Okay, I Am Ready For Advice!!!

I understand the feeling I was a 10 for a good month and then my number went back to a 9. Also I don't seem to be getting payed as much for the time I put into giving responses. How do you know your rating by the way?

There probably isn't much you can do that you haven't already been doing...posting a lot of quality responses and discussions etc. etc. etc.....The rating system is tricky and doesn't always get used properly. I know it might not look it and isn't a really huge deal anyway but my rating has taken a hit recently too. I had been a solid 98 for quite awhile then it dipped to 97, back up to 98 and then in one day I went down to 95. I'm pretty sure I'm barely hanging on to that too since I've hardly been on all week. The other reason to not do anything differently is because it's more important to be yourself and do things your own way rather than follow everyone else. I love my blue star and don't want to lose it BUT I also know that it's just a number and the world won't come to an end if I end up with a lower star. Just keep giving us all reasons to give you +'s and your number will come up.

I dont know why Rozie.I love responding to your discussions they are very interesting.Your responses are great.SO i dont see what the problem is.I rate your discussions with (+) each and every time.I would suggest keep doing what you are doing because you are doing a great job.Dont let that star bother you.I have always said they are in the way anyway.

Unfortunately, there are people on here who will decide they don't like you and then start going to all of your questions and answers and give them - ratings. At this point, it seems like no one does anything about them. I personally would not worry about it, my rating went down and then after a few weeks it came back up. The rating system in good, in practice, but in reality, it is lacking and people can make it nasty. Keep doing what you are doing, I like your questions and stuff and rate you +, you will come back. Forget the ups and downs and just enjoy the ride.

I think also from what the above said, if you get lots of best responses that also adds to your rating, so I have noticed. All I know is if you answer lots of posts and give good quality replies, then your ratings are bound to increase. I don't know why people would be rating you negatively because from what I have read, none of your responses warrant it, so I'm not sure. Hang in there my friend!!

I don't even know half of what I should about the rating stuff. I'm confused by the star and by the number beside the star. Where did you look to see you were at 76? I wish I understood the rating stuff better! I know it has something to do with how people rate your comments or something like that.

please do not let it bother you , I went down a couple of times and I felt sick ( stupid some would say) but I kept thinking I had done something wrong , I emailed admin and they told me that our stars have nothing to do with the quality of our discussions or anything at all to do with what we do on My Lot , your star rating is controlled by your friends ( or not friends ) as the case may be , If someone gives you a minus rate then your star rate goes down and if someone gives you a + rate then it goes up , I give every one who reads my discussions a + and I think most of us do , so please don't let it get you down. I have given you a + for this discussion to help you on your way back up xxxxx

There is nothing to do with your ratings and writing your responses creatively or differently...first realise what type of discussions you're good at and start responding to those type of discussions and most importantly be yourself...you'll surely get to the 10 pointer...all the best :)

Every time I run across your posts or topics, I rate you a plus. I don't see any reason for your rating to be falling. But I wouldn't let your rating affect how you feel. You are still the same person no matter how others rate you.

Don't follow everyone else, be yourself. Don't do what everyone else is doing. If you have your own unique style, stick to it.

Rozie I do not know what you have changed and if you have changed I do not know why you have changed I loved you the way you where/are. When I complained about someone who was offensive my rating went down. I wonder if that was it. I do not know. I do not know why some people give negative ratings and it seems they tend to gang up on cartain people. I have read where one person will be picked on for some reason or another which to me seems stupid reasons. Then the person or people doing the picking on gets tired of hurting the one person or either move on to another unsuspection victum or they get kicked off of myLot. Then I will read someone else's rating will start going down and they will get responses that are nasty. I suppose that it will be my turn one day. I am sorry it is happening to you. I hope you can hold your head up and know that your true friends are out here for you and we love you no matter what your star ratings are!

If I were you, I wouldn't be too concerned about this rating. Just do your best in responding and starting discussions - no one can ask more of you. If people give you positive ratings because of what you do, then that's a bonus and will help you get higher overall rating. I'm also at star rating of 8 for a while now even though I feel I am giving reasonable to good responses, but I don't let that bother me.

I think you are here from a long time. It is great to have users like you who really cares about the quality. I feel really sorry that after so much efforts you rating is not improved yet. But, I think you have got the answers in best response. Just do what you are doing and happy posting.

i do not understand yet what you mean as i am new to mylot. i like you. i like my job. i have never had a girlfriend but think they are all nice.
