I just recieved this in my e mail and thought i should pass it on!
HOPE YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS!!!
I've done this too! Never
thought about how dangerous it might be!
Re-Charging Cell Phones
I went
to snopes.com to be sure it wasn't an urban legend &
it's not.
It is very true! And I do this all the time!
Not
anymore!!!!!!!!
This seems import ant enough to forward to others.
It's
wise to be safe and safe being wise.
This was also on Pittsburgh 's WTAE
channel 4 News.
Never, ever answer a cell phone while it is being CHARGED!!
A few days ago, a person was recharging his cell phone at home. Just
at
that time a call came and he answered it with the instrument still connected to
the
outlet. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone
unrestrained and the
young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud.
His parents rushed to the room only to
Find him unconscious, with a weak
heartbeat and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby
hospital, but was
pronounced dead on arrival. Cell phones are a very useful modern
invention.
However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.
Never
use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!

A cell phone charger puts out 5 volts. If through some alien intervention a 120 volts did some how manage to get to the micro circuitry in a cell phone it would melt it. The worst you would get is a blistered finger. Who makes up this crapp and then actually prints it. The thing we all know, is that no matter what anyone says, no matter how assine thier is somebody, some where on this planet that will believe it.

Being electrocuted from the charger from a cell phone is second only to blowing your self up and being rewarded with 72 virgins. I also think it would be easier to cure erectile disfunction from eating 10 bean burrito's laced with tabasco sauce than to die from a cell phone charger. What actually killed him was being told that he was being rotated back to quard the only kosher deli in Quarghuli, Irag.

Can you post the link to that...I could not find it on Snopes. Other then one isolated incident which they say is false.
Also, the WTAE channel 4 reference came from a blog. I searched the site and found nothing to do with the above mentioned danger.
I would think that if the danger was real, the cell phone would be programmed to prevent it from being answered while plugged in.

Yes it can happen and its all well and good saying you shouldnt use it but at the same time you should be saying that we should never even touch a cell phone while it is being charged cos the risk is literally the same.

Wow! I never thought about that. I, too, have used my cell phone a few times while it was still charging. Reading this will definitely change my mind about doing that again. That is too scary. Thanks for this information and warning!

What you are sharing is true for all appliances that run on electricity, we have to handle them with care, because electricity can be the worst enemy and killer if not handled properly;but it can be the best friend if handled with due care.
