As we all know, Amstardam, the Ten Commandments says that we should not steal, but there could always be circumstances where it might be forgiven. As a case in point; if a father has a family to provide for and cannot find work no matter how hard he tries, I believe that he would be forgiven if he steals food to feed his family.

Ah, but there are times when God Himself justified people who went againist the 10 Commandments...was it Rahab that lied about the spies? The commandments say do not lie...

There are circumstances in which I feel that it's justified. As someone else said, a parent stealing food to feed their children. Yes, sometimes the parent in question can just go to social services and get food stamps, but not everyone with a legitimate need qualifies.
In cases like that, I think that stealing is justified.

You know.. immoral as it may sound.. desperate times call for desperate measures. For those people that have run out of options, then I personally feel that it's alright for something small.
I've seen young mothers being humiliated in grocery stores for stealing fruit and meat, and I always feel so awful for them. Food bank reserves here are always super low, especially because of our booming population that are heading to the province of opportunity with no money, so locals with kids aren't getting what they need. And with housing prices being as high as they are here, I don't even think their social assistance would cover a bachelor apartment in a scummy building in a bad area.

As a privat person on a very low income i can think of loads of situations where I personally think it wquld be justified to steal only that i never do. Who would I steal from? Friends and family? never, if needed i would ask them and they would give me if they can. From business and coorperates? yes, that would not bother me if i just had the courrage. The business's calculate with some sort of theft anyway, which is paid for by their consumers, so i feel iwhen i am paying i am paying for their thefts anyway. The co-operates? tell me how this could be possible and i would not hesitate a minute. They are the ones making business and big profit by using their workforce, mostly under, in my opinion, suspicious circumstances and labour conditions.
I often think of robbing a bank just to meet ends needs.

Yes, In some cases I think
I think Stealin' is okay when u steal a book. Books are the store-house of knowlegde. Knowlegde isnt a matter of self-property and should be shared. I never claimed anyone who has steal my books from 2000 collection of books. I also often used to steal books from my friends and dear ones. Obvoisly I dont or let other do steal books from book stores because the sellers are there to earn their livlihood from it.
One more thing I think can be justified, the thing had been discussed here earlier, that is "Stealing one's herat". :D
