The future of American soccer looks bright as Adu and Altidore lead the USA past Brazil tonight in the U-20 World Cup being played in Canada.
OK. So its just the Sub-20 team. Still, those are the guys who will eventually be the USA World Cup team. And, they looked really good!
Go USA!!

I completely understand that this is just the U-20 tournament. Still, the USA tem looked really good. This kids are the future of American soccer, and for them to look good against the future stars of Brazil is a real plus for American soccer. Of course the USA will always lag behind the traditional powers. The best American athletes do not play soccer. They play football, basketball, and baseball. That is where the money is here. The MLS has a long way to go before the best young American athletes decide to make soccer more than just a way to stay fit between football seasons.
