Adoption reunion not what I expected

I was adopted when I was 5 years old. I am now 26 and met my birth mother for the first time this past Nov. Everything was great from the beginning and I felt like I finally belonged somewhere. But after a few months I began to realize she had never taken responsibility for what happened and never would. She got drunk one night and proceeded to call me names and tell me I had no idea what family meant. Its been a month and I have had no contact with her. Sometimes I wonder if it was even worth finding her. Are there any other adoptees with reunion stories? I would love to hear them or your opinions on what I should do as far as the realationship with my birth mom.
