A 3-year old girl, has found dead on a river...and her dad killed her.

On the news, a girl was found dead on a river. I remember this girl was reported missing since they visited a mall with her parents. After 3 years, she was found dead on the river. After a day, a video record on the mall was seen, her dad carrying the little girl going outside of the mall and when he came there is no little girl insight. The dad was suspected who killed her own daughter. Why can a father will do it to her own child?
