Breakfast this morning.

I dropped MIke off at the Math and Science school and was headed to my office when I decided to make a detour, yep, you guessed it through Sonic's drive-through. Normally, when I do that I get a sausage, egg and cheese burrito combo meal with tater tots and a coke. This morning, I decided to deviate from that and I regretted it tremendously. I got a bacon, egg and cheese Toaster. Which sounded great. It was undoubtedly the worst breakfast I've ever had from there. The toast was soggy, and tasted like it had been toasted an hour or more before I came along and ordered. The bacon was dry and tasted like cardboard. The cheese wasn't even melted And the egg...well I'm not even going there, but I'm not sure it was laid by a chicken in this century. More like powder from a factory somewhere. I was so disappointed, and starving by the time lunch came along. What's your worst fast food disaster?

Oh no that sounds really gross! I feel for you- I know how it is to get your heart set on something and then have it taste like crap- And most people ask me why I don't try new things- lol for that reason alone- I've gone through drive-throughs and gotten cold food alot of times- when I have the time- I drive right up and go in and complain- I am not paying money for bad food!

We went to Mickey D's a couple of weeks ago, my daughters and a friend of their's and her mom. All of us got fries that tasted really old, were lukewarm at best and just gross. I put all of them back on the tray, marched right back up to the counter and asked for the manager. But this time, I was already on my way to work, and just didn't have time to go back.

3 things. thing 1. I hate sonic because we've had sonic commercials on our tv stations for a few years and the closest sonic to me is 5 hours away. I hate that! thing 2. My worst Fast food disaster wasn't necessarily bad food. It was what came after the fast food. I was 7 years old and my mom was taking me to the doctors I had a rash. We ate breakfast at McDonalds and headed on our way to the hospital where we instead got into a pretty bad car wreck. When I was taken to the hospital, I had an upset stomach. Eating food then being in a car wreck = not good for the tummy. So the hospital not seeing anything wrong but not knowing what was wrong decided to not feed me for 24 hours. I wasn't allowed to eat until the next morning!!! Then of course, what did I get..crappy hospital breakfast! Not to mention I totally believe in bad Karma and didn't eat at McDonalds for breakfast for about 4 years or so and I LOVE McDonalds breakfast. I finally gave in by accident. thing 3. My worst food related incident is probably when I order extra hash browns from McDonalds (Best Thing EVER!) and they forget to put in my extra hash browns and I drive off without them. Luckily I haven't had too many bad incidents with the food being as bad as yours...maybe I should be glad I don't have a sonic :p

Well I'm glad you won't give it up. I didn't even after my horrid accident with McDonalds food. If I'm ever in Arkansas I'll be sure to come to your town :)

We'd love to have you. It's a tourist town, so there is lots to do...natural hot water springs (thus the name), 3 lakes, The Arkansas River is about an hour away, An amusement park, lots of historical points. Our town sits in the middle of a National Park

OK, you just brought up memories I had buried. LOL, I can't believe I thought of this since I tried so valiantly to forget it. Little more than a decade ago, my mom and I went through the drive through at Long John Silver's. We both had started eating their new wrap products. Our favorite was the shrimp wrap, which contained shrimp, rice, lettuce, and some sauce I never could identify. So it was perfectly normal to get one that day. Later that night my mom and I got so sick. We only had one bathroom, so one of us would throw up outside while the other was in the bathroom getting sick from the other end. Sorry, don't want to be too graphic. Anyway, we had food poisoning. For months if we heard anything to do with that restaurant or wraps we would get nauseated. I'm not kidding, it was horrific. My mom told me to think of the my favorite food when wraps popped up in mind, so I was constantly thinking, watermelon! Watermelon! And no, sadly it did me no good. Now, where did I hide that memory. Time for it to go away again. : )

Your poor husband! You know, I know it is naive, but I never really thought about getting food poisoning from pizza. I think it is good that I don't really like it that much. And I'm going to have a whole different view on Pizza Hut from now on. : )

He isn't sure if it was the pork sausage on the pizza....or the ham or salad dressing from the salad bar. Either way, it is just hard to bring yourself to eat something after it's made you sick.

Oh that does sound horrid. Only food disaster I can think right now was a couple years ago. My youngest son and I were at a grocery store we don't normally shop at but they had lemon meriange pie on display and as we both love this I splurged on the $6 pie. When we got home both of us grabbed sausers and forks. I think we each took our first bit at the same second! Disaster! The pie was grainy not smooth, had a lemon flavor but not sure hold old the lemon was, and the marigue on top was like shoe leather. One bite each and we ended up throughing out the rest of the pie.

EEEWWW... lol I'm sorry. I wish you were close enough, and I would bake you a lemon meringue pie! i make my own pie crust, bake it, then put in the pie filling and then brown my meringue in the broiler.

oh I see you went to Sonic and didn't invite me. LOL I have never tried that Sonic Breakfast but my hubby did once and he didn't like it. Oh I am sure you wouldn't have Breakfast there again. I think lunch is better at Sonic. My worst fast food probably krystal's but sometimes they are ok.

I love Bacon. I can't eat too much of it anymore with my blood pressure. Have to get low salt, and it's so expensive that it has become a treat.

But I love their breakfasts normally! Their breakfast burritos...are wonderful. I like them all, bacon, ham or sausage. They have french toast sticks that are really good. THey used to have a pancake on a stick..that was a pancake batter dipped onto a sausage link and then fried like a corndog. They were to die for! I guess I was the only one that liked them though because they quit carrying them. lol

My worst fast food disaster is always when I get old french fries! I rarely ever order french fries anyway but when I do, I order them without salt so they have to make fresh!!

OOOhhhh that is sneaky...and I will have to remember that one. I love french fries. Don't get them often because of my blood pressure problems. I absolutely hate getting to splurge and then having them old and cold. Yuck.

I remember getting a whopper from Burger King once and it was totally horrible. I have refused to eat there since . It had been microwaved I guess so it was soggy and the lettuce and tomato were hot . Actually I had the same thing happened to me with a burger from McDonalds - I forget the name of it , the mayonnaise was mixed with the cheese , and the lettuce and tomato were hot as well . I do go there still but I refused to try that sandwich again for a very long time.

That sounds horrible! I don't care for tomatoes and I only eat Romaine lettuce. This food choice is from my days of being pregnant with my son, who is now 20. I got really sick---i didn't have morning sickness, I had 24 hour sickness---after eating a salad with iceberg lettuce. I absolutely cannot stand the taste or texture of it ever since then. Same with cucumbers and radishes, because they were in the salad.
