Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap

How do I make it clear that this Sam Beckett refers to the Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap, and not Samuel Beckett the playwrite? I guess we could refer to Scott Bakula's role as "Sam Beckett" since he's often called "Sam" on that show, and Samuel Beckett by his full name to differentiate the two.
Of course, I probably misspelled a name somewhere, which is likely.

As long as you reference the name as "a character played by" you should be able to adequately differentiate between the two.
