I graduated from DLSU Manila too, and since everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion, I find DLSU way better than UP since (this is my view ayt?) most of the students at UP would rather go on rallies than study. But hey, that's my opinion. My friends in UP keep saying that we in DLSU are very "sosyal", "maarte" and even inferior. So I guess that means we're even. Everybody thinks highly of their own school and see other schools as inferior.

I'm guessing your GF is from UP diliman right? well, you can't force the issue. if i went to other schools i would say that the school i went o was the best in my opinion (partly because you don't have any comparisons since you probably went to only one college) I'm also an alumnus of DLSU-main and the GF I have isn't from DLSU so yeah there are times we would argue which school is better. What's important is to respect the opinion of other people. She went to another school and for her that school is the best while for me the best school is DLSU. No conflict really, just small talk

i think you need to be one to fully understand.. my ex always say that UP is the best there is and he always abase DLSU.. when in fact, when we were in high school, he tried hard to get into DLSU, he was just not accepted.. plus, some friends i have there always remind me that they are the best university here but whenever they need papers and assignments, they always ran to me.. i'm not putting up with this anymore.. keep the animo!

DLSU the best? Not quite true. UP is the best and if you don't agree with that, then you're being biased towards DLSU.

I think that getting mad at her about it is silly and a bit immature. There are three schools in my state that are all big rivals, but I don't get angry at people that say their school is better than mine. We always have heated discussions about it, but it's all in fun.

That's her opinion and its better to respect it. We all have different opinions you said that your school is better and some will not agree to that.

people have their own biases, respect here decision if thats what she thinks, you like dlsu better, and i think it sucks. see, we cant just force somebody to like something if they really dont.

Are u a La Sallian? Because I am. I just graduated early this year. Thing is, u can't force her to keep mum about her preferred university... unless u wanna be an a-hole and control her every interest. If u don't agree with her, don't get mad at her. She has the right to voice out her opinion, and so do u. La Salle and UP has different areas of specialization. I know that UP is an excellent training ground for writing. It is definitely way better than La Salle. But La Salle is more respected (compared to UP) when it comes to computer studies and business courses.
