Here where I live at the moment petrol is about $1.40 a litre and everyone says that is too expensive but I was talking to someone from the netherlands and they said that they pay over $2 a litre so I am wondering how much petrol is in your area and do you think it is cheap or expensive?

Hi there. Here in my small town we pay about $1.58 per litre, so then, when we buy $20.00 gas, Im pretty sure we're only getting $10.00 and when we buy $10.00, Im sure we're only $5.00 lol... Why cant our vehicles run on "Cooking Oil" or "Old Socks"... LOL, ignore that, I felt like saying something silly lol...

Thank you for your response, Is there anything you can do to find out if these people are ripping you off? That is really unfair!

Hi there. We pay for freight, the petrol is delivered to our town, once a week or so, I dont think we're getting robbed its just the price rise in petrol globally, we pay the extra on top because we're a rural town... Thats what Im thinking anyway... Somedays the petrol would be at 1.38 per litre, so we're probably lucky for these days and should be stocking up on it, before it prices go up again... Thanks for your comment...

We're currently paying just under £1 a litre in the UK, so I suppose that works out at about $2. Opinion is pretty much split in the UK as to whether it's way too cheap or way too expensive.
I walk to work so during the day when I see all the parents in their 4x4s (SUVs I suppose is the American equivalent) taking their kids 500 yards to school I think "Double the price now!". Then at the weekend when I'm visiting my Mum or Father-in-law I've paid the equivalent of $100-$110 dollars to fill the tank I'm thinking "Robbery!"
