I am reading "Vroom With A View" by Peter Moore. He is a humourous travel writer and this time his book is about his travels around Italy on a 40 year old Vespa he nicknames Sophia (after Sophia Loren). I picked this book because I like Peter Moore's writing style and humour and also as Italy is one of my passions so any book to do with travel in this beautiful country brings back great memories of when I was there myself. How about you? What are you reading at the moment?

Right now I am into Tony Hillerman books. The one Iam reading now is set mostly in Nam. But most of his books are about the Navajo and Hopi Indians and in the setting of The four corners area in the states. Four corners is where four states come together with their borders Utah,New Mexico,Arizona and colorado. His books take you way back in the Canyon country of the Indian Reservations , Also tells some of the Indian beleifs. I have now reead almost all his books and he needs to write more.

I'm reading 'A life in Science' by John and Mary Gribbin, a biography of Richard Feynman. He was one of the greatest physicists of the 20th century. Quantum mechanics is one of the fields he worked on. He was also involved in the Manhattan Project during world war II. His life is really inspiring! I'm still reading it...

I am currently reading two books - the first is "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I reread all the old Harry Potter books whenever a new one is coming out. The other book, I just started and it's "The Universe in a Single Atom" by the Dalai Lama. It shows that spirituality and science can in fact work together and coexist.

Right now I am reading Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub. I love their books, even though they can be a bit gory at times. This one is about a man that has these psychic type dreams having to do with murder, and at the same time actual murders are occurring in nearby rural towns. And he is the only one that can solve them. I just started reading it a couple of days ago, so I haven't gotten very far yet. But so far, it's really good.

Mr Klein is probably very glad that his book has done its job! I'm not familiar with this one, but from the title, it sounds as though it's probably not the most unbiased volume ever to come out in print! It's important (if you're going to be basing your vote on what you read about a person) that you bear in mind the style of the writer, and what can be implied by the use of language and taking things out of context. If you're going to read a one-sided biography, and want to get a balanced idea of her as a person, it's probably a good idea for you to read an equally pro-Hilary biog, or better still, a balanced biog from a disinterested party (ie one who is not politically motivated).

Right now I am reading a book called 'Sybil' and its a older book (published circa 1972). However its very interesting. Its about the first authentic and documented case of split personality disorder. This girl has 16 documented personalities. I do know that there was a movie based on the book but I haven't been able to find it to read it. Would love to though--but have to read the book first to get all the details as movies seem to leave so much out.

Currently I am almost finished reading a book called Incas: The Light of Machu Pichu by AF Daniel It is so amazing!! It is historically factual but still ficitonal and is about the Spaniards and their conquering of the Inca. It tells the story from the viewpoint of a disenchanted Spaniard who is in love with the Inca priestess. The horrors it talks about that were commited by both sides are aweful but truthful. I like how there is also a twist because it gives you snippets of Brother Bartholemew's take on things at certain points as well. Bartholemew is a Catholic priest that originally comes over to save the heathens and help them learn the glory of god. But he then sees them for who they are and that although they pray to Inti they are people (children of God). The characters are well balanced and you get to know them so well that you feel for them when something happens. The writing is so rich and colourful it paints a picture that is living and breathing. I can hear the jungle and see the temples. I feel the sunrise and hear the battle cries. It's an amazing book. I picked it up the other day froma bargain bin in a department store and got hooked within 2 chapters. The only disappointing thing is that it is book 3 and I am reading it before 1 or 2 which I am definitely going to find now.

Winternight by Arnaldur Indridason. He is a writer from Iceland. It's a thriller. I like the sad inspector he is describing with a lot of guiltfeeling. I have read other books written by him. But I must say this one doesn't catch me like I am used to.

Actually, I am reading a great book by John Grisham. He is a great author. It is a book about this dude working at a law firm which appears to be a leginimate, wonderful oportunity for him as a new job out of college. But it turns out to be a very dangerous job where he has to do many dangerous things to save his life. He is picked by the FBI to complete a task to charge the lawyer firm he is working for with illegal, mafia acts. He is under obsurvation from the firm and they are ready and willing to get rid of him if anything suspicious arises. It is a dangerous and completelly thrilling task he has to withgo. It is a book packed with action and drama. I would suggest it to anyone, along with many other of John Grisham books. He is such an exciting author with great story ideas.

I am nearing the end of The Ring of Truth: An Inquiry into How We Know What We Know, by Phillip and Phyllis Morrison. Chapter 6 tells of how Cecilia Payne invented the study of the stars in space through the use of spectral analysis. She was only 23 years old.

I am reading Napoleon's Buttons: 17 Molecules That Changed the World. It is an exploration of the role chemistry has played in history, such as the spice trade and the theory that Napoleon's army was defeated in Russia because the tin buttons on their uniforms disintegrated in the cold. That particular theory has never been proven, but it is amazing to read how molecules did change our world.

I am reading a VC Andrews series...Heaven and now Dark Angel. These books have been around for a while. It is about a poor family, abuse, deception, and the children that tried to rise above their unchosen status in life. Prior to this I read her Flowers in the Attic series which was amazing. I have always heard good things about this author and don't know why I waited so long to check her out.

I'm reading "Shopaholic and Baby" by Sophia Kinsella. It's chick-lit and it's actually pretty good. It's a light, fluffy read. I think it's the fourth in a series of "Shopaholic" books. It's about an English woman who loves to shop and gets herself in trouble by doing so. And in this particular book, she's pregnant and can't stop buying stuff for the baby. It's really funny and I actually find myself laughing out loud sometimes.
