This is a tough one, because you will probably get contacted by people who are in direct sales telling you that you will be working from home. Be careful of this, because you really have to leave the home to do the parties which then defeats the purpose of being a sahm.
I decided to open a home daycare so I can stay home with my kids. I did this 15 yrs ago and haven't regretted a moment of it.
I have just started to look for different sites that I can make money on while being home~ hoping that this will take off and I can stop the daycare eventually.
You can check out my blog to see what I have found. It doesn't replace a full time income yet, but as I become more comfortable with these sites, my earnings are going up monthly.

I´m a work at home mom, so I can probably help you out a bit. There are a lot of great websites out there that can help you with your quest to stay home. Here are a few that I have found useful:
http://www.entrepreneur.com/mompreneur/index.html
This site has business ideas and tips for women wanting to start their own business.
http://wahm.com
A good place to start your search for information.

This is another good starting point.
I also have a blog on working from home. You can check it out for business ideas and tips on managing work and kids at the same time.
