Why don't some people have a sense of humor?

I have friend that posted a pretty funny post and a lot of people took it seriously. My friend stated that it was for fun only. I took it as "don't take this seriously." Well a lot of people did not have the sense of humor to warrant the reply to this discussion. Thus my friend ended up having a lot of negative ratings and a lot of ticked off people.
Why don't some people have a sense of humor? Life is too short to be serious all the time.

Some people just don't and its sad when they take things too literally. I thought it was funny but because I am not witty I didn't have a comeback other than LOL or hahaha!

maybe they do not appreciate goods things happen on their daily living. people like this are people doesnt value things around them, i beleive that people should know how to earn sense of humor as they are earning to earn money on mylot!

I guess some people can't simply understand the word "FUN", as there will always be people who'd take things offensively.
If that friend of your's just posted a discussion meant to humor people, then I guess he/she might've have offended some in some ways. Just let them be, because we just can't simply please everybody..

You can't say that people don't have a sense of humor just because they don't think something that makes you laugh is funny. Some people laugh at people falling. Some people think making crude remarks to people passing by is funny. Some people enjoy comedians like George Carlin or Robin Williams and think they are funny and others don't. Humor is different to different people. There are some people who can't see humor in anything, it's those people that I feel sorry for. Of course, there are some things that people just shouldn't joke about...the tragedies of 9/11 or the Virgina Tech shootings are two good examples.

Sometimes things just don't turned out what we expected. And we cannot really tell how people would react. Most often we think it's fun but others just don't get it as the way we want them to be. What can I say? just let your friend charged it to experience.
