i am sick of my windows XP boot failure

My computer screen - this is the message i get from my computer when i try to boot

i get this message windows cannot start because the following file is corupt or missing: windows\system32\config\system Anybody know what to do? Repair does not seem to work

this is definitely not a hard disk error. i had this problem before i switched to linux and i could not fix it.

your may have a faulty hard drive. have it replace. the boot sectors (where the missing file sits on) maybe damage thus repair won't help.
