Married people, where did you meet your spouse? I met mine on a dating chat line over the phone. I got tired of the club and bar scene, so I called a local dating chat line. It was free for women to call. This chat line is similar to the "Lava Link" commercial you see at night. Anyway, my spouse and I have been together for 10 years and been married for almost 5 years.
Tell me your stories! :-)

My husband and I were Chemistry lab partners in college. ..... We love to tell people that there was chemistry from the start. ha, ha.
We had mutual friends and interests around campus so we didn't start dating righ away. We went to the same parties, sports, intramural events, etc. until we finally just started riding together to everything. But that wasn't dating..... was it?? We knew we were attracted to each other and enjoyed spending most of our time in each others company, but to this day we still disagree on what was actually our first date.
PS I dropped the lecture portion of the Chemisty class on the last day to drop a class, but finished out the semester never missing a lab class. ;)

Really wonderful discussion to participate! Well, in my case, I met my spouse in a rehabilitation centre where I used to visit as a volunteer addiction counselor. He was there under treatment for his prolonged addiction problem.
When I met him for the first time, I was going through a broken relationship in my personal life, whereas he was also suffering a lot in his personally, socially, financially as well as spiritually. So in that sense, we both were of broken-heart.
We came close with an empathetic view for each other. Then don't know when it turned out into love, and we both found our true soulmate for life. We have been together for 10 months and been married for last 8 months. It was a quick decision to get married so fast, and may be, we haven't perfectly met all our financial needs yet, but personally and spiritually we got our desired stability in life.
Thanks myLot community and coolchic101 for giving me a space to share my personal thoughts with the world. God bless you.

My cousin and her husband met each other at a club and they've been married for almost 9 years. My ex best friend met her baby's daddy at a club as well, but unfortunately, their relationship ceased. It just depends.

Wow! That's a pretty cool story. One of my best friends met her husband on an online dating service. I always thought she had a pretty good story to tell.
I met mine through a mutual friend. He brought him over to my house for a party one night and we ended up hitting it off. We've been married for just over a year and together for almost two years.

That's definitely an interesting story.
I met my husband at a party at school. We talked all night that night. Then he didn't call me, but we saw each other the next week at a different party, and this time he called me the next day.

I met mine at the place that I used to work. He was employed there as well but he also camped there with his family. So I was kinda checking him out from afar and he was doing the same and then another coworker set us up for a "group" night out but of course no one but the two of us showed up. I'm glad that it happened and we have been together for three years and married for the last two of them.

I first knew my spouse when she was in the same college with me. We were just friends then, and only chatted once in a while. When I spent two years in the Navy, I started corresponding with her through exchange of letters. Our friendship grew closer when we both went into university. One day, I plucked up enough courage to ask her out on a single date, and she readily accepted. It was smooth sailing after that, and as they say, the rest is history.

I met my husband at a bar! Sounds cliche, I know. I had just moved into town to start law school, and went to the bar to take a break from moving and law school orientation. While I was there, a table of third year law student guys started teasing me for being a lowly first year. One of them was pretty cute. Once school started, I kept noticing him in the hallways. Eventually we started talking, and he asked me out. We dated for five years, and got engaged on our five year anniversary. We've been married for a little over three months.
