First, you have to spell the word correctly when searching for it :) I would say go to TED.com for experts' ideas on global issues. We are here for discussing little things in daily life, while hoping we are not hurting the earth even more. At least I'm doing my best to keep my impact as low as possible. But the environment issue needs a much bigger scale of power. This requires people to be educated consistently. So go to TED.com or many other professional websites. When you are here, ask some specific questions like how to save energy in cooking or how to save paper in the office. We love the earth by all means.

I haven't been here long but I have seen several discussions about global warming, transgenics and other things like that. So, no, it's not just gadgets and clothing. You'll also notice there are a lot of other important issues out there. Enjoy

Actually there are many discussions about the environment. Unfortunately, the discussions search never brings up exactly what we look for. So to assume we are mindless and care nothing for the environment would be fool hardy. There are many discussions about the world here. You just have to look in the right places.
