Hey everyone
I wanted to open a discussion on those who are dealing with chronic pain everyday~I have been off of work since 2004 becuz of slipped discs, migraines,FM and much more and they pump me full of medication that seems to do more harm than good.Any thoughts, opinions, anyone relate???? I find that some people just don't understand the concept of being in pain 24/7. :(

best thing for ppl with back pain is demanding those MRI's and CT scans and keeping them up every few yrs~I go for another CT of my lower back this coming tuesday becuz since my last testing its been feeling worse so thankfully my Dr wants to see if things have worsened or remaining the same?
with having MS do they do alot of those testings? MRI's...pain sucks doesn't it~I find it getting so difficult to even wash my hair when I am showering its exhausting too with everything

I can relate to the migraine thing I have chronic migraines and they just simply suck LOL!
Hopefully your Dr is getting you help for the migraines and back pain/muscle pain~I unfortunatly have to take both narcotics and muscle relaxers for all my pain issues.
Hope your having a good day!

FM is actually very hard to diagnose at times becuz your Dr should be running all the right tests to rule out everything else and atleast here in Canada (not sure where you live) but there is a FM test your Dr performs on you and its about 12 different things ex when gently poking your arm (is there pain? and does it last afew mins..even after the Dr/person has removed their hand from you)~different strecthing tests...and if you have atleast 8 out of the 12 tests that make an effect on you and all other things have been ruled out~is one way of testing for FM (sounds weird I know) but 2 Dr's have done that sorta test on me
Plus they look at family history Ex my Aunt and cousin have FM and chronic fatique so we know its genetic in my family which is another factor to consider a person having it...
Some Dr's will say nothing is wrong with you its all in your head~thats when you get another Dr and ask for more tests and to see specialists...
I hope i made sense in explaining some of what I know~if not let me know and I will try and explain better
A good Dr who takes u seriously and gets all the tests done and refers u to specialists ... is a good start.A Dr who is not willing to go above and beyond to figure things out for u is when its time to get a new Dr (thats what I had to do)
Fm is something I wish I didn't have~wish it didn't exist:(
