Where I live it is now plain too cold for the season. Every day it is raining, no sunshine. I am tempted to turn the heat on, now, in the middle of July.
How is your weather? Better? Or also bad?
Are the politicians telling us balony when they speak about global warming?
I am sitting here wearing a sweater.

It is hot and sticky and very yucky here. I think it is about 95 degrees out today. I dont like it when it gets this warm, as I do not have air conditioning at all. So I would rather be some place that is a little cooler, not too cold but cooler than this. At least I know that the weather here changes quickly!

It is seems this global warming or is it climate change thing is a bit confusing. They always talk about the temperature rising and that it is going to be warmer in winter and even warmer in in summer, yet, we see a lot of rain, flooding and stuff. Last winter there was so much snow in the US. So I begin to wonder sometimes if the scientists and politicians actually understand what the climate change is all about themselves.

The climatic changes that people have been experiencing is the result of global warming. Global warming is the term used to explain the hottest summers and the coldest winters (eg: record high temperatures) extreme temperatures.
For example, it used to be rainy season in some parts of the world, but instead, people are experiencing the drought season with no rain at all. Then we have other places which is suppose to not have rain suring that particular time, but now, it is flooding and bursting river banks and destroying houses along the way. - Lyn

It is the effect of global warming. Do you remember when sunny California was getting freezing temperatures that the oranges were coated with frost? It has been very hot in Singapore, where i'm from. Humidity is adding to the problem. Then starts a whole chain of other health concerns like the breeding of mosquitoes due to the weather.
In my other discussion, i was talking about live earth and how it does not really help to improve the situation. The money should be channelled into other better things that ensures a better life for us. Then again, it is just me. - Lyn

Hi Inky261, i'm not too sure how much it has affected berlin, germany. But in singapore where i am from, i remember that temperatures hovers between 25 to 29 degrees celsius when i was in grade school. Now, the temperatures are hovering at 30 to 34 degrees celsius.
And if you remember, 2 years back, in california, the orange trees were coated with frost when it should be ripening for sale.An unusually harsh winter frost has wiped out as much as three-quarters of California's citrus crop and kill off avocados and flowers as well. The financial impact on growers could be significant. It could have cost $1 billion.
It was a bad year for the farmers in california. - Lyn

It's cold where you are? Oh,...let me go there!! Here in NY we're having our first genuine heat wave and it's horrible...when I'm out I keep ducking into stores with a/c just to cool off. You're wearing a sweater and here I am just wearing a big t-shirt--want to switch places?--LOL

Hey Inky, We are having scorchers here but that is normal for this time of the year. Only about a week or so ago we were getting the rains and cold. Lots of storms! Now it is hot and drying things from the storms. I really think things are melting in some places and freezing in other places. I also think that it's been like that for years before they started testing and is very normal.:)

Way too hot here, but it's very breezy. We're expecting a thunderstorm later, but it's not quite looking like one.

Here in the southwest US it has been very hot, though not as bad where I live in Albuquerque, NM as in many other parts of the west. However, here we had a colder than normal winter and a record snowfall. So that tends to more than average out the current heat and give no indication of local global warming anyway.
