marriage for convenienece!!!???

i have a cousin which is 30 years old, and there is this japanese guy whom she met in japan years ago.he is 62 years old.
he came all the way to the philippines to visit her and married her.
my cousin said she doesn't love the guy,and one more thing he is too old for her.but if she married the guy, he will get her to japan,and give her good fortune.she belongs to a poor family so the offer is tempting,the guy promised good life to her and the family.
in your own opinion,will you sacrifice yourself for the sake of your family?
will you marry the guy for your convenience?
i need your honest opinion.

I think that only she could make this decision...that is a vast difference in age...does this man know that she does not love him??? would it make a difference if he did??
I think that many of us make sacrfices for our families everyday to some extent....
If both of them are fulfilling a need for the other and can find some happiness together then I see no harm....

I will never be happy if I ever did something like that, however that doesn't mean others would feel the same way. I have heard of a few arranged marriages that have worked, and over the years the couples grew to love each other. For me, I would rather marry for love.
