They say, especially people here, use it cause it doesn't exceed five minutes - when it is dropped accidentally, other don't use it it is dirty already even it just slipped out of your plate,
I think they say even just a second million germs or bacteria come on it, i think even it didn't slipped out, still it's a bit dirty.
Do you think it is still sanitary to use it even it dropped or slipped out of your plate?
have you experienced it, and still used the utensils?

For me, if I can get a replacement, I will go change a new one. But if I can't, I would rather go without and use the fork or chopsticks instead. :P

wow, you're so flexible in a way that you can use anything to feed yourself, what if none is available, here in our country uses their hands, and it has this feeling of really at home, and FILIPINO, thanks!!^^even though it's a bit gross but when you try it you'll love it, of course with clean hands!!!^^

Yuck! If my fork/spoon fell on the ground, I would definitely not use it anymore. I would get me another one. That's just gross! I don't care about the 5 second rule or anything else. That's still gross!

I watched a show that did a scientific test on the so called "five minute rule." The result was that when you drop an eating utensil and pick it up, five seconds or not, it already has germs that we can ingest. So I almost always get a new spoon or fork. If there aren't any available, I can always wash it off with soap and water, dry it off, and use it. : )

yeah, that's right, i know even a second or half a second bacteria just climb up, but still in this world even it doesn't fall germs are still there, so what we should do is make our immune system stronger, thanks, good!!^^, what's that show again!?^^

oh, so you are very sure that the table is clean, lol, maybe sometime we should be very very clean but some people say that immunization is better, so be immune to germs will make you more strong, but for me still cleanliness is next to godliness or cleanliness next healthiness of ones body, thanks!!^

If it lands on the table that is okay, because my table is clean, but if it were to fall on the floor, I would get a new one...

If it falls to the ground I tend to get another, if I can't replace it I try to wipe it with my napkin. If it falls on my lap, I'll keep using it.

If it falls on the table I'll still use it since I clean the table before we sit down to eat.

Nope, I wouldn't. I'm convinced that it would be unhygienic to use it again. I would deinitely get it replaced immediately with a clean utensil.
I believe that once it's in contact with another surface, be it the table or the floor, it would have come into contact with a tonne of bacteria that could potentially cause us to fall ill. It's not worth taking such a risk. It's much better to get it replaced.

hi rockingmom...It depends on chace of replacement. If i drop my spoon/fork at home, even if is on a table or on clean surface,i never use it again and go for another. But if i dont get a chance to replacement my fork/spoon, i will wash it with water and use it again.I dont mind to wash my spoon even when am in public becoz i care about my health when coming to this point not public.Smiles.

no, there is no i will use the fork/ spoon if it slips down from the table drops down on the floor, but if it just drops from my plate to the table then i see that if the tablke is clean then i use the fork/ spoon, if it is not clean then i leave it and take another one.
