Do you shave your legs? Is it okay to do it or you regretted doing it?

to shave or not to shave - There are legs with lots of hair on it - dark, light brown some have white hair on their legs. I have known people especially ladies who often shave their legs to make it look smoother and neat. I appreacite my ushaved legs though but am thinking is it ok to do it?

Am just wondrin why people especially women shave their legs. I haven't tried doing that since but I do appreaciate both hairy and shaved legs. But will it not thicken your hair all the more? Is shaving one of the beauty secrets of women? I like my legs and I got fine hair, which I think is just okay. But I saw that shaved legs also look good. Is it okay to take my hair off from my legs? Or would I just regret it in the future? What are you advices?

I was raised to only shave the hair from the knees down...I do not think that it has caused the hair on my legs to become thicker.... I like the more sleek look, myself....I think that it is a widespread habit here in the US...I was taught the process in my late teens and have continued every since... I do not regret it...I have taught he same thing to my daughter who will teach her daughter the same in a few years as well....

Hi tina. Glad to hear from you... I have friends here as well who shave thier legs - I love the after look and wanna try it to my legs too however am afraid that there will be some effects int th future. But you said it didn't make your hair thicker so perhaps I could try it and stop when I decide to. Will i still have the same hair stand when am gonna stop shaving my legs? Since shaving your legs is actually cutting the top of the hair shaft off...it does not affect the root of the hair folicle...so it will not affect the direction or way that your hair will grow when you decide to stop shaving...

I have been shaving my legs for about 40 years. I like the way that they look and feel when they are shaved. I shave my legs every day. I put lotion on them and they will be very shiney. My legs are also tan so I do not wear any hose. They look very nice like this. I do not know about the hair growing back thicker, as I have never allowed mine to do this.I see no problem with shaving, I love the feel of the shaving lotion on my legs when I shave them. It feels very goos to me.
