If you have to choose a number from 1 to 9, what would it be and why?

I would choose 1. I chose 1 because without this number, there can never be a ten, a hundred, a thousand, a million, a billion or even more. Those huge numbers would be nothing if not for the 1. They would be ZERO. And we can't get to two or more without adding one. By the way, It signifies the top or the best of anything. Do you agree? If not, choose your own.
