my friend what is important is what you need from torrent client that matters.
if you are saying best in terms of neat features and stylish interface then azureus and bitcomet will bag that.but mostly azureus as it is easy to use and powerful.but as it is java based so it tends to eat up most of your RAM.if you have lot of ram then go for azureus.
if you are looking for really fast torrent client then try utorrent.it hasn't hundreds of options as azureus, but it has all the functions a torrent downloader will need.and it requires only 1 mb of your hard drive space and memory.which means its really light and fast and it does its job very well.
in comparison to azureus utorrent is fast, use less memory than azureus and its not that big and bloated.
for speed you can use an accelerator.i know about the bitcomet accelerator only.but never used it anyway.
i hope it helps you to some extent.

any bit torrent accelerator that says it will magically speed up your download speeds is false and will only infect your pc with spyware.

I use BitComet for my torrents downloads and it is very fast unlike other torrents software it is slow and don't even download i have tried many torrent software and all came out to be useless because it did not download any thing and i have an fast internet connection still, so then i stopped using torrents and started using limewire and that was very good had no viruses but now it is flooded with fake files so i stoped using that as well then one of my friends told me about bitcomet and i downloaded that and it worked very fast and it was very fast not slow, and i am still using that it is very good.

When it comes to the torrent program itself it depends what you want from it.
If you want a torrent program with all the bells and whistles and ability to add extra addons and other stuff then you should go for Azerus. The downsides to azuerus are that it requires java and that it takes a lot of system resources compared to my second reccomendation.
If you want a basic torrent app then you cant get better than Utorrent. Its small and lightweight. It takes hardly any system resources and there is no installation neccessary if you download the stand alone client. It does everything needed to download a torrent without the added system hogging added features.
I use Utorrent.
There are many great torrent downloading sites available and a great list of them can be found at slyck.com

I am using the azureus. Torrent files can be downloaded at mininova.org. I am bit frustrated with bittorent before so I switched to azureus. It was fine and fast. Torrents, almost all of them are too slow to download.
