There is a trilogy, but a motivational speaker - Dave Pelzer. These books will definitely change you. The first one, it was either 'A child called It' or 'A boy called It' was the first real adult book my son ever read. He hated to read, but could not put that book down.

Good for you for wanting to read more books! =) I personally recommend books by Robert Fulghum--like "All I Really Need to Know I learned in Kindergarden", "Uh-oh", "Maybe, Maybe Not" & "It was on Fire when I Lay Down on it". His books speak of simple truths in life that should be common but ironically enough, not too many people are aware of them...I find it a joy to read his books since they are written in such a great manner & with profound meanings. Happy reading!

Depending on your likes and dislikes and where you are in your life, there are numerouus Chicken Soup for the Soul books that are inspirational. Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach is also very good. A little something to read every day. My mother said she noticed a change in me after reading that book. Apparently there is a workbook/journal too. Oprah recommends this book as well. The Secret is a book that is all the rage right now. I have not read the book but have seen the DVD. A lot of people have said it has changed their life. Good luck!

I have read a series of translated indian books which were able to change my life, my feelings and my emotions. Those books are known as 'Apu Trilogy' written by the Bengali novelist Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. These three books have been produced as films by Sathyjit Ray. The first book, named 'Pather Panchali' (Song of the Little Road) says the story of the littl boy Apu. In the second book 'Aparajitho' (The Unvanquished) describes about his school life. In the third book we can read about his marriage life and his son. The way Apu face his life, the way he think about life, the way he is loved by every one, the way he love others - all these inspirational moments can be imagined while we read through the words. Apu Trilogy is the best series I've ever read.

Coelho's "Veronika decides to die" helped me when I was very depressed. That book really made me feel good again. :)

I really recommend "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coelho. I read that book a couple of months ago, and my views of the world changed completly.
