yea, How will you react when you come across a obsence scene, rated X going on in the T.V, as you change the channels from one channel to the other? Remember that you are watching the T.V with your kids? Just share your opinion..

If it was channel surfing I might not say anything cause they might have not seen. If it happened to be part of the show I was watching and they caught more than a half second of it or walked in on someone watching it I would probably talk to them.

I know that the kids of now a days have more knowledge than me. This is age of visual developmet. Nothing is new for childern. The days have gone, when the parents us to hide every thing from their kid. If they know and want to know about every thing and every attitude, then why should we feel shy or try to hide. Childern of this age are cleverer than the past, so we could hide nothing from them.

When I watch tv and my grandson's (4) is in the room, I quickly channel surf during the scene. What really surprises me is when we're watching a kids show and they have that commercial on with the pregnant mamas in the throes of delivery pain! My grandson looked horrified at the pain on these womens faces as I quickly changed the channel until the commercial was over. It seemed totally out of place to be shown on a little kids show, if you know what I mean?! I usually don't watch anything if it might have questionable material in it, and neither do his parents. If we want to see it that bad and it's only being shown once (or something) we'll tape it and save it for when he's in bed.

If I am watching t.v. with kids and suddenly obscene scene appeared at the television screen, I would most probably switch it quickly to another channel. Then I would ask the kid whether he had watched that obscene program. Ask him without making him feeling afraid, or else he might lie to me and said he never watched. If he say yes, I would ask further why did he like to watch such movies. Then I will tell him I would rather not watch such movies because they are not quality programs and they can make people become stupid. Lol. Something like that. I would even add that it is uncool to watch obscene programs, and all my adult friends do not watch obscene programs too. Lol. So in that way I hope the kid would not watch it again.

I watch television with my kids all the time, although I have never come across an rated x show. That is because we do not have any movie chanels, I a have only opted for the basic cable channels for the very reason of putting my kids at risk of the rated x shows. Sometimes we watch shows that have kissing but they don't really pay any mind to it, they tend to just laugh it off.
