I enjoy Harry Potter a lot (and here I thought that the kids would be the only ones to like it LOL). I would have to say that The Goblet of Fire is my favorite one so far. I love the scene with Draco the bouncing feret and also the scene where they are all going into the Quiddich world cup and she describes Draco's mother--I could just SEE by reading how snooty his mom was---love all her books really. Looking forward to the last book but like you, I hope that she changes her mind and its not her last book.

I didn't even know who Harry Potter was.All I knew was my sister and her family were reading the books. This is when the third book was getting ready to come out and I was ill and had to have a minor surgeory.I was talking to my sister about watching my daughter and I also asked her what was all this Harry Potter stuff. She told me and I said well I think when the new book come's out I will go to the library and get it and she explained to me that I cannot get these hot book's from the library yet and I have to start with book one or I will be confused. So,I mustered up enough energy to go get book one.I started reading it and quickly became a "Potter Head".I read it in a few days.I could not find book two,so borrowed it from my sister.Finished it in a few days. When the movies come out Iam the first one at the theatre to see them.My daughter like's the movies, matter of fact we have them on video too and she has been watching them again on TV.She cannot understand the big words in the books. We are christian and at the church we used to go to,they are against watching or reading Harry Potter. At the church we go to now, most people are with me on this.As long as you know the difference between reality and make believe its allright. Now I have to come up with enough money for the book and the movies. The movie theatre is not cheap either.

I like Sidney Sheldon books. Don't have much time to read more books, though. Should find more books to read in the future. Thinking of buying Harry Potter's books, but didn't yet. Lol... even though they're kids books I love their movies. Can't miss watching them.

Harry Potter books are not kid books. My sister matter of fact read's them together as a family. Her and her husband and daughter. Some older kids, middle school age can do better at reading them, because there are big words. These books are good for both older children and adults.

I have many favorite books of many different genres, but I think your question refers to the Harry Potter series. Well, I like most the third and the fifth book. Both, "The Prisoner of Azkaban" and "The Order of the Phoenix", include an organized resistance to evil, reminding me of stories about the resistance in Second World War (yes!) and the role played by the English intelligence. Dumbledore compares to MI6 head, and has alse features of Le Carre's "Control".
Organized resistance to evil by a few, ready to sacrifice themselves, is one of those important things that makes it a pleasure to read Mrs. Rowling's epic of the battle between good and evil in a magic univers that ressembles very much our own Muggle world.
