Do you prefer a laptop or a desktop?

Well I finally got my modem back and its working really good. But my husband and I have found a way to buy a laptop and we are excited about getting one. I personally prefer a laptop to a desktop because of the space and we can put ot up where the kids cant destroy it.
But which would you prefer if you had a choice; a laptop or a desktop?

i'm using a laptop. i like to use a laptop because it allows me to be mobile. i can use the computer anytime, anywhere, especially when i'm lying on my bed like right now lol...:P

i prefer a laptop cause with desk top its stuck to the desk but with my laptop i can wander around the house i can go out side it light and looks a lot nicer too also if we go away can take my laptop and still contect to the internet where ever we go with it

I only have a desk top but next time I think I'll buy a lap top in stead. I'd like to be able to use the computer where ever I like.
Lap tops use less energy than desk tops, so from an environmental point of view they are better as well.
By the way: You can create a user account without admin rights for your children on you computer, thus making sure they can't destroy anything important.

Well it all depends on your situation. If i had enough money i'd buy one of each because for the same price i can get a more powerful desktop and a larger screen. With a desktop there are a little more options. However, i cant lug a desktop from my house to say a hotel when i'm on vacation or to school. This is where my laptop comes in. With technology these days, my laptop and desktop will be completely synchronized.

i dont know the desktop got more memory but i can put a mouse on my laptop and its portable and i know alot of free hotspots...

Although a regular mouse can be attached to a laptop I don't like that little ball or whatever the laptop has to move the cursor around. I also don't like the way the screens are on the small side. I really love my desktop monitor.

desk top..your kids are going to get to it sooner or later and then you will have an expensive repair bill. i have both but still prefer my desk top as it out preforms my laptop..is not easily broken..and it is faster and cheaper to run in the short and long run..but if you got a lot of cash and can easily replace it if you break it..then get one with loads of warranties if you break it or it get stollen
