Don't you hate it when...

Don't you hate it when you peel tape off of something and it leaves a sticky residue? And, then everytime you go to pick up that item, you get sticky on your fingers. So, gross! And, then you can't wash it off either. It just sort of has to wear off. That's one of my biggest pet peeves. So, now you've heard my pet peeve. What about yours? What little things drive you nuts on a daily basis?

That sticky issue drives me bonkers also..I just hate it when someone touches my stuff..I don't want my stuff moved because I know where it is and when I go to get it and it isn't there I get upset...If I want it moved, I will move it...

I just wish they would package that stuff and sell it! That is some glue! I think it is the same glue they use on the cereal bags, because I can't open the bag without tearing the whole thing and spilling the cereal. (One of my pet peeves.) Like you say, the sticky residue stays on the jars, not to mention my fingers even after several washings! No glue I have ever bought in a bottle or tube has that kind of staying power! Another pet peeve are those bottles with the plastic lids with the little tab you are supposed to pull in order to get the lid off. The tab always breaks before is comes off the lid, so I have to pry the lid off. Another pet peeve is....oh shucks, I better stop while I am ahead!

Oh, we must be thinking with the same brain again today! Cause I swear that's one of my other pet peeves. And, then I forget to close the flap properly after I've poked a big hole in the bag. And, then I make the mistake of sitting the cereal box too close to the edge of the counter top and it gets knocked into the floor by the next person walking by.

haha - right there with you! Especially on things like books, ends up getting dirty also. My biggest pet peeve would have to be liars. I can't stand to hear someone clearly state something they know isn't true and just go on and on without it. I know some people can't help it, it's like a disease or something. I've known a few people that would tell a story about something that has happened to them. I would state what I would have said or done in the situation. I swear if you keep listening within five minutes they will have added that to their story as if they said or did that. That's how I know it's a sickness, a liar just to lie would not use it with you five minutes after you said it. lol Another one would have to be couples whom disrepect each other in front of their children. Sure, people argue over stupid things all the time, it's natural. However, they don't have to do it in front of their children. Especially when it has to do with something concerning the child. That only causes the child to learn disrespect towards a certain parent as well.

There is a product call GooGone that will remove that sticky residue that you refer to. I use it all the time because that is also one of my pet peeves. My other pet peeve is stickers left on items. Lol. I must peel stickers off of everything, so I buy GooGone! Another trick is to heat stickers up slightly with a blow dryer before removing them... works great most of the time.

Opening up a bottle of aspirin or container of anti freeze and not being able to get the seal open without getting something to poke through it. I think there should be a little tag that can be pulled to get them off. And the tag should not break when you pull on it.

Oh, yes I hate that too! That is the worst. Most times I grab one side of the tab and just pray it won't break. Most times it doesn't. Maybe I'm super lucky.

I used to hate that too. Then I found out that if you put a little WD-40 on a paper towel and rub the sticky part that it will remove it. It totally dissolves the residue. Of course it won't work on everything, but on plastic, glass and most things it works super well! You just have to wash the object with a little soap and water and all evidence of it is gone. Best hint anyone ever gave me! Little story...The last time I moved I took packing tape and sealed the doors on my fridge, washer, dryer, etc. They were in storage for almost a month before we could get into the new house. That tape from the post office was sooooooo stuck on there! I tried everything. Then I soaked the area with WD-40 and set a paper towel moistened with it over the tape. The tape itself totally dissolved and came off. I was so happy, I thought I'd have to live with that darned ugly tape on my appliances forever.

I hate it even more when the tape pulls the paint off the wall or the fake wood stuff off the desk.

Yar I have the same thinking as you. I hate it with the sticky residue and I have to clean it off with another sticky tape. So irritating.
