and he is just simply the best! look at today's match, federer faced much more presure than nadal. federer have been known as unbeatable on grass and here was the chance to equal bjorn borg. on the other hand, nadal is getting much better and he got nothing to lose from this match. however, federer managed to get through his tough moment and reached his goal. it was just unbelieveable. it just proved that nadal is federer is challenge but still not as good as federer. it is not exaggerated to say that federer is not only an excellent player but he is indeed an tennis genius. it is a tragedy to be an excellent at federer's time. i truly believe that he is going to continue to win several more times grand slam title and maybe go beyond any one in tennis history. am i overstating something?

Federer has an advantage over Nadal, but we can see the games and see that the advantage is not that much ! On the grass-clay confront, Nadal was better !

World no. 1 Roger Federer has been at the top spot for more than 3 1/2 years. He has defeated all sorts of players at different venues. The only Grand slam that has eluded him for the past is the French Open where Nadal is the king. I hope Federer will defeat Nadal in Roland Gatrros someday.

Federer is the best all round player right now, there's no doubt about it. But Nadal is closing the gap too. The matches between these two amazing players are really close and its a treat for everyone watching. Federer has earned the tag of being one of the all time greats.
Though Nadal overshadows Federer completely on Clay courts and Federer needs to close the gap there. Clay court matches so far between these two have been one sided in favour of Nadal so the only thing eluding Roger Federer is the championship win over Nadal but given the class of Roger Federer you can't count him out even on clay court.

i am thinking your wrong nadal is better just he was hurt he wasnt moving as good as he was and the sets he won he won easy 6-4 6-2 and federer had to go to tiebreak i still think nadal is better and next year nadal will win

Both are equally good.last year the answer for this question would say federer was the better player.But federer himself said that he had a bit of luck during the finals.It was not an easy going for fedex.If he didn't have the ace weapon it would have been more difficult for fedex.But kudos to the champion for serving 24 aces.

Federer is still better than Nadal on grass but Nadal is closing the gap fast. Nadal is better than Federer on clay and Federer is not really gaining much on him there. Also, I think that Nadal holds the edge in overall head to head win/loss record over Federer.

I believe that Fed is still the best and showed his class today in the Wimbledon, but I think those of us who follow tennis very closely would all agree that the gap between Roger and Rafa is very slim and soon enough Nadal will learn to dominate on other sufaces which will no doubt lead to some very exciting tennis between him and the raining #1.
