We all know what other people call tv = "idiot box". Since it's a new generation and new types of tv shows are on the tv. And with the cable channels a new stream of different genre of tv shows.
As a parent do you screen what your kids watch on tv? I know that kids has their own mind and make decision. So it is better to explain to them what shows they are supposed to watch and why not the others are allowed.
How about you? What can you say?

I agree with you. There's so much violence in tv shows nowadays. OUr kids should be guided accordingly and know the difference of tv show and real life. Though there are a lot of reality tv shows.

Yes, as much as possible but what I like most of my kids, they already know what are the shows they wanted to see, and they know their limitations.

It's nice to know that your kids already know what's best for them. It only shows that they are mature already for their age.

Yes, I do watch my kids all the time, especially when their watching tv, They only loved to watch disney channel, cartoon network, nick, nickelodeon, nhk, and hbo or cinemax where i can watch with them too but if the movie is under PG 18 I would rather want to buy new dvd movie or rent if they want to watch new movies.
Although kids also know they want to watch we should still be aware of what they want to watch or especially what they want to do. I guess thats one of the reason why we called as PARENTS, Mom or Dad. Not just only to love and feed our kids but to teach them to love, to learn good things, to have good manners, showing them and sharing them all the wonderful things we could share to them....

Yes, we are PARENTS. It is our responsibility that these kids grow up in the right direction. We surely have to see what they're watching. If it is educational in a way or not. Thanks for your response.
