i think 12000 mg of vitamin C is too much although you can say it it is still safe. but doy also know the recommneded daily allowance of vitamin C? if no then you will believe me that is around 180-200 mg only. a regular capsule or tablet of vitamin C is already too much for 1 person coz only 180- 200 mg can 0nly be absorbed and the others are just making your liver and kidney extra time. that's why it is not recommended for vitamin C to be taken more than 1000 mg. knowing this, i was shock with your information that's why i replied corteously..... hope to hear from you my frined...

Hi joshboz. Nice to hear you. This information is according to Dr. Linus Pauling, the only two time Nobel Prize winner and considered one of the top ten scientist in the world. He is known as the Father of Vitamin C and was himself taking up to 20,000 mgs of sodium ascorbate (his original vitamin C formulation) if I'm not mistaken. You can search it out through internet.

It's not good to eat lots of the same thing. Vitamin C is one of the most important elements, but if you take a lot of it, it'll become harmful, too. The best way is to take it from the food, such as orange, kiwi... It's better than take the Vitamin C pills.

I've read that you can't overdose on vitamin C. It's one of those vitamins that your body doesn't store in the fat, so if you get to much it's excreted by the body. I don't really know the RDA.
