I might be getting a budgie(parakeet) soon! yay!
well anyways I was wondering how to disinfect the old cage I have. I had 2 budgies about a year ago but they both died from I don't know what.
So I want to make sure the cage is disinfected before I get the new bird.
Any advice would be appreciated!

I would use a dettol before introducing new birds in it. Make sure you leave it in the sun and make sure that a week has passed since you put your new birds in it.

I would clean it with bleach really good. Scrub all the bars and floor. Rince really well with HOT water. Let it dry and your ready for a new bird!!

Wash it out real good with an antibacterial soap..then let it sit in the sun for a few days.
That should get it nice and clean.
