Have you experienced seeing the same number/s repeat in random circumstance?

Well, i'm posting this discussion because a colleage of mine related his experience where a number 22 keeps recurring in many circumstances in his life and they seemingly give a message or the like...a student of mine also has the same experience... and recently everytime i check the my watch its always 3:33 or 5:55... If you have the same experience, please relate how you felt and what you think is this recurring numbers all about...

yes i have something with the number 7 numberplate of my car 34 bankaccount with 2 times 7 mobile phone number 3 times 7 housenumber 16 before housenumber 7

my friend said it has something to do with numerology...well, i haven't researched much about it yet...and according to my friend numbers 1, 2, 3 has some special meaning. Perhaps there are more to this but its quite weird...
